Cable companies are monopolies in most places, no different than utilities, which are also private companies in most places. This regulation is fine. The same local government entity that gave the cable company the local monopoly can regulate how that business can charge customers, just like my local government can

Gotta side with the officials, probably a bad batch of Indio Oats.

Force them to live in a trailer park in rural West Virginia to experience first hand what these evil pricks caused.

Any settlement has to bankrupt the Sacklers. Keep negotiating until this happens. The only thing the Sacklers care about at this point in time is their social standing, which can be bought because rich people are ghouls who will accept/tolerate others with wealth regardless of their background (Bill Gates doing

I hate tobacco and love THC.

Yes. They should be paid a living wage. For the standard 40 hour work week.

I would love to work at different times of the day, but my employer wants me here at specific times. It’s part of the job, if I don’t like it, I have to look for a different job. This is the way it has always been. The difference now is that companies losing billions of dollars annually are exploiting people by having

It seems pointless to go from one window directly to the next with no other car waiting in between. I get wanting to have two

Leaks are CRITICAL to the oversight of our government. Do you honestly think that the politicians and bureaucrats tasked with oversight would ever stir up trouble?

Why don’t these fuckers analyze the video of the cops forcing a guy to crawl down a hotel hallway before executing him?

Free labor market

Speaking of retail, that sector has lost millions of jobs over the last decade, but you’re not here crying about those workers. What about them?

If you are not able to work to the requirements of the job, whether it’s the number of hours or when those hours are, then you don’t get the job. Christ this is how companies have worked forever, there’s nothing new here except for two unprofitable companies instead of already-established businesses.

If the company doesn't exist, there are no employees to worry about

You mean Uber has to manage employees like a retail store does? The fucking horror.

Uber makes $0 for every ride that a driver who already put in 40 hours doesn't take because they sit home. If the app says no drivers available, then I open a different app, perhaps one that allows drivers to work overtime, or, you know, hired more drivers to make more money for the company.
