True this would change the perceived sales figures, but the Sportwagen was always a Golf from the rear axle forward. This was the same with the previous generation as well. For years in Canada it has already been called the Golf Sportwagen, and Golf Estate in Europe.
I few months ago Autoguide Compared the Golf to the Corolla and a week later the Jetta to the Sentra... against their weakest competition guess who won? A few weeks after that they compared the Jetta to the Golf for no reason. Really made me lose respect for them. Motor trend named the Golf car of the year 2 years…
