My absolute FAVE bit of news about Jezza and May is that the Tory Tabloids tried to make a big deal about Jezza not bowing to the Queen, even though normally it’s just four functionaries (only one elected) who are supposed to bow.

Because separating the head of state from the head of government is important, and if you’re already using a monarch, why bother replacing them with a President or Chancellor?

Yes. It’s surprisingly relevant what with the ascent of the alt-right/alt-light.

Of course they will. Why else did the neoliberal wing cajole Perez into running for DNC chair, denying the more populist wing of the party even a symbolic victory? Why did Nancy Pelosi respond to a question about disenchantment with neoliberal capitalism with “We’re capitalists, and that’s just the way it is”?

It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again:

Yeah, Tales just adds more midgame content and fleshes some stuff out. I think Obsidian deliberately made a very slim streamlined game though, and Tales was about broadening it.

Well, Tales from the Tiers is out now, and Bastard’s Wound is due out later this year...

Yeah, it it’s coming from a position of ignorance, it’s pretty fair to call her out for it. Especially with the Murdoch link. That almost makes her support of Jezza worse than her condemnation of Clinton because it’s just rich dumb capital appropriating a progressive movement that’s actually accomplishing things.

Honestly, that makes a lot of sense. Yes, she was the lesser of the evils, but let’s be clear here: She led Obama down the primrose path to a more hawkish foreign policy, she has a history of supporting white supremacist legislation as the first lady, she made extensive use of convict labor- modern day slave labor- as

Okay, John McCain’s concerns will matter when he actually votes against Trump and Ryan consistently. This is just the Republicans back on their Jim “The Rapist Toad” Sensenbrenner bullshit.

I’m sorry, but are you high or young or something? Did you not live through the Bush Years? Or the chunk of the Clinton years where the Republicans held congress? These people cannot be swayed and do not have decency. The presumption that they can and do is projection by naive democrats who watched too much of the

To me though, that makes it more important that we focus less on the Republicans and more on internal battles in the Democratic party. The unexpected popularity of Sanders, and the triumph of Corbyn in the UK, suggest that maybe a refocusing of the democratic message on economic issues could make for a smash at the

That’s the best case scenario for if he resigns, but that’s presuming that it’s Republicans who push him out. I think it’s much more likely that if he bows out, he bows out because of media pressure. That’s always bothered him a lot more than anything the party itself has said- which is why he’s so willing to push

During the Bush years they gamed the fuck out of congressional procedure and Democrats consistently failed because they refused to get their hands dirty. The later stages of the Watergate hearings were cancelled because both parties feared what would come up. Today, legislation is more likely to be written by

It’s not just about a political advantage- it’s about what’s good for the country. A president who will fuck up making the country worse and get little done in that regard is better than a president who will actively work to make the country worse successfully.

I think it’s the fact that those circumstances are unlikely to be repeated that makes Pence and Ryan more dangerous than Trump. Pence and Ryan, for all of their faults, have always been able to present themselves as reasonable Republicans. It’s a matter of performance, not policy, which is what matters to the media.

Actually I think if anyone’s going to use it effectively for political gain, it’ll be centrist Democrats, who have already offloaded a lot of the blame onto Sanders supporters.

I’m really confused by all the triumphant responses to this.

I think the more compelling characters, for romance, actually would have been some of the guys this time. Mishima in particular, especially with his name.

I’d argue the opposite- America entered into it on the condition that the US could set its own targets and they’d be non-binding. So the agreement is entirely at the mercy of the sitting government, but Democrats are acting like it’s the biggest deal in the world that Trump’s doing away with the pretense.
