Can major corporations throw shade?
Can major corporations throw shade?
Provided this is true (which I don’t doubt for a second)? Rapists were in charge of the classroom, and people did what they said because they were the authority. Google the Mount Washington McDonalds incident and extrapolate that to someone actually in the room.
Drag artists are portraying a character who is an exaggerated (and increasingly, genderfucked) performance of womanhood. Tom Neuwith is a man with masculine pronouns. Conchita Wurst is a drag queen and so uses feminine pronouns.
It’s probably also worth noting that one of XSEED’s partners, Carpe Fulgur, fucked up the release of their chunk of Trails in the Sky SC because Andrew Dice (their director) became suicidally depressed during crunch time.
It’s an intersectional issue, isn’t it? It’s not just about race, it’s about race, class, and first or second hand experience of racism and classism. Wealth is a really potent form of privilege that makes it easy to maintain psychological distance.
All I’ve got is Martin Freeman calling a friend of mine fat.
Yeah. The old professor guy is brought in because he’s going to be an essential expositor as the MCU gets weirder, and he’s cheaper than Portman.
Whedon made a lot of concessions on things like the Infinity War foreshadowing and so on because Marvel threatened to release a cut without the Scarlet Witch nightmare sequences.
Yeah. A woman as a protagonist would be nice, but part of the Half-Life/Portal design ethos is that the player’s personality and thoughts and stuff ought to take the place of the player-character’s.
The artist fucked up, basically. He drew Alyx from memory and focused on getting the hazard suit right.
It’s just crazy. I’m a gay man, and basically EVERY necessity in my life, particularly medical ones, is going to be tax-exempt. Shit, even condoms are tax exempt (and they are in many places in the states) because the government recognizes public health when men are involved.
Er, I mean, my province Alberta has the reputation of being Canada’s texas.
Nurses gonna hate, but one of the most effective things in cutting down on hospital-heavy infections like MRSA is taking power out of the hands of Doctors and Nurses and giving it to bureaucrats. Studies have solidly shown that some bitch with a community college degree and a clipboard who hounds caregivers about…
My Province recently went socialist. 51% of the new government’s MLAs (think State Reps) are women including the leader. The median age of their caucus is exactly the same as the province: 36.5. Many of them are nurses and teachers.
It’s kind of insane that a chronic medical need that around HALF THE POPULATION will have to deal with for much of their lives isn’t at the very least universally exempt from sales tax in pretty much every western country, let alone the fact it’s not covered by standard insurance/UHC programs.
Speaking of ~feminine hygiene~
What gets me is that she admits to having chosen to go on benefits rather than working full time so that she’d have time to write. If anyone other than a white english success story did that, they’d be the ultimate Tory talking point.
I dunno, I can see getting really angry and even going so far as to call her an asshole on twitter around the time she made the huge NO donation (although I think NO was probably right for Scotland), but the fact that it’s apparently still going on is crazy.
I think that the issue’s that social media is essentially gamified. You talk shit in a video game because it’s a competitive dick-swingy environment. Often that goes too far when you’re playing with pubbies because a lot of them are children or toxic fuckheads, but anyone with half a brain doesn’t play with pubbies.
She’s said that she waffles between believing in the Christian deity and being one of those wooly spiritual-not-religious types.
