My wife’s Audi has a little draw pad and big knob thing in leu of a touch screen and I find it to be a much better experience. Having your arm resting on the center console for stability while driving on a bumpy road is a much better experience.

There’s a 3-6 month wait for most models/trim’s. They will raise prices until demand falls in line with supply. It would be absolutely stupid for them not to. The direct sales approach was always to benefit Tesla, a better customer experience is just icing on their cake.

I started looking at LR 3's about a month ago, they were 3K cheaper than they are now. Pretty wild.

Who said anything about corners?

I can’t trust someone who would go through all the trouble and spend all the money just to slap that eye sore of a throttle cable bracket in there and call it good.

I think a lot of people include the fuel savings into their cost analysis when buying a BEV. So while your payment might be high it’s slightly offset but reduced fuel and maintenance cost. Plus, as I mentioned above, they have pretty good resale. Still, the amount of people willing to spend 50k+ for a compact

Not surprising considering Tesla probably has a well above industry average median sales price. They also seem to hold their value pretty well.

It’s time to make David proud.

If BMW is selling mostly SUV’s, wouldn’t that by definition make them the most BMW of BMW’s? Maybe BMW is now a SUV company that happens to make a few decent sedans? Companies are allowed to change their focus, which in this case happens to be printing money.

Added utility? Comfort? Dogs? You want a GTI.

It’s a Toyota, it’s just starting to break in.

Imagine being a structural engineer for an auto mfg. You spend your career engineering structures to save peoples lives and everyone just thanks God when they work.

I don’t have much sympathy for people who wait until the last minute to do things, but COVID has definitely moved most DMV’s to the next level of hell.

Perfect. Now instead of being inconvenienced for 10 minutes setting up a tent and blowing up an air mattress I can: find storage for a 130 lb roof tent, everyone has that, and, when I want to use it, call a friend and have them help me lift it, then call him again when I want to take it off.

The problem with roof tents is they’re huge and need to stay on your roof the 340+ days a year you’re not using them. I don’t know how long a $3300 tent lasts on your roof getting beaten by the elements but I’m going to guess not very long. Not to mention the worst part of being “that guy” with a roof tent.

Well then. It’s a good thing we haven’t spent the last 18 months feverishly purchasing every vehicle we can get our hands on for way to much money.

Drive it like a hot hatch and you’re probably lucky to get 60 miles out of it.

Ah yes, another “off road” CUV with AT tires and half inch of available suspension droop.

True if you stay away from the V8.

121 hp/l NA? Holy balls batman.
