Missing the toyo tax? The Pro-4X is more expensive than a TRD Off Road Tacoma.

A 5-8 thousand dollar Toyota, preferably a Corolla. Cheap enough to not care when they crash it, but still has enough life left on it so you’re not stuck footing a big service bill or working on it every weekend.
Oh you’ll cry alright. It’ll just be at lease end.
Maybe you stopped modifying cars in the 90's? The tuner scene is alive and well. It’s just mostly moved to internet forums.
I looked at that same spot thinking it probably had something to do with it. But at just 25 MPH this dude must have been paying zero attention.
That’s a fair point. No one modifies a Corolla.
That’s because people don’t sell 5k cars on auto trader. They’re on CL and FB marketplace.
The craziest part of your story is that a clean 95 Prelude would probably set you back way more than 5k today.
I light search of my local CL shows plenty of decent Toyota’s for 5k with less than 150k miles on them. There’s a very good reason why a 150k Toyota costs the same as a similar 100k Nissan.
The same amount you can carry in any mid size truck, zero.
Most drag cars use either a 2 or 3 speed transmission. I’m not going to pretend to know why.
*Insert any Honda or Toyota that you can buy under 5 grand here.*
According to their build sheet, the 572 is the least powerful engine option. It gives ratings in NHRA rated HP (not sure how that’s different) 572 @ 430 HP, 427 @ 470 HP, and the SC 350 @ 600 HP. The 572 is also the cheapest at 105k Those all seem wrong so take it with a grain of salt.
It’s obvious she’s white, otherwise they would have shot her miles ago.
SCRA and MLA give much needed protection to military members. I’d hope that most of the stories told were old otherwise they were illegal.
Point being: the windows and weed were just convenient excuses to pull him over. If there’s more to the story I’d love to hear it (which presumably there is given how they approached the car). But the best way to avoid this situation (given what is known) is to not cause it in the first place.
Ah yes, Marijuana and tinted windows. The sorts of things to risk people’s lives over.
Old school sales tactics die hard. I started an internet sales department at a Toyota dealership back in the day and my sales manager absolutely refused to allow me to give people quotes via email/phone for a while. He just saw the internet as a oportunity to set physical appointments. Needless to say it wasn’t a very…
Isn’t that what your S/O is for? Ever time I don’t want to do something I blame it on her. It’s a win/win for everyone involved (me).
I would but I’ve never done it before so I’m probably overqualified for a GM site.
