According to jisho.org (translation) :

Nintendo has always been very weak with their online strategy.

I never cease to be amazed by some of the US comments here... NRA members carrying guns to a meeting to buy an old N64 from some kid???

@Ossidiana: Or maybe we're putting the accent on it? Because it's fascinating? You could also focus on japanese politics or fondness of jazz music but hey, that's boring :-)

@Ossidiana: I don't agree. Japan may be weird, but I'm quite sure I can dig up weird stories from any country in the world. And why stop at stories, just look at the history of any country and you'll encounter the weirdest things, that were considered quite normal at the time. It really IS a question of perspective

Why does it happen so often on Kotaku that authors use the term "the West" when they really mean "the USA"?

He's right about the CGI crap... Actors shouting hollow phrases into a blue room that later gets filled in with some 3D rendering isn't what I call cinema.

Whale Nostalgia... as in: remember the time there were whales, just swimming around in the sea? Oh well, who wants a dolphin sushi?

@DutchOtaku: Isn't it the same with movies? Generic nonsense with good graphics (avatar...) draws huge crowds and makes insane amounts of money.

I just hope the tablet isn't the first step towards a completely apple-controlled software market like the iPhone app store. But I'm afraid it is.

Not when you can buy a NES in your pocket for $30

American food = pizza, hamburger & coke?

@Blah8: Well for one thing I never grasped the "cover" controls. When in cover I always found some enemy standing behind me, and then I couldnt respond. You can't shoot when sticking to a wall (or I never found the button you need to use) so I frantically had to search for the button that would "unstick" me from the
