I have lived long term in NY, but 50k seems like way to low to be middle class there. Even here in KC, a 50k household income would be very tough.

I have more often witnessed upper class people making sure everyone knows they are upper class.
I found this when looking around cnn money where the article came from. This looks to take individual County into account.
In the source article they defined 'middle class' as 67%-200% of the median income. So that range would then be divided into lower-middle, middle, and upper-middle, right. So you would look at 67-111% as lower-middle, 112-156% as middle, and 157-200% as upper-middle...right? So then anything above 200% of the median…
Exactly. That's why it would be so interesting to see it for major cities. Here in Kansas City, we are quite a way above the middle class, but even with cost of living fairly cheap ($1000 mortgage, car insurance, student loans, gas, bills, retirement, etc.) the amount of disposable income is still low. And when I…
That would be interesting. I know that, based on this chart, I am above the upper limit for my state but I would not consider myself 'upper class' in my particular city.
I bought the tux I wore for my wedding for $180 (watch for a sale at Macy’s then use your coupons to get the price way down on a 100% wool tux), my shirt for $50 (with a turn down collar obviously), and a black bow-tie for $20. No cummerbund though, since I am a fit, modern man. Then I just wore my black opera pumps.…
I think the first season is very different from 2 and 3. You should try watching it again. For me the third season is by far the best.
Do you mean the fantastic third season? I watch about 5-10 episodes per week, and usually land on third season episodes.
You can buy the DVD’s...or torrent all three seasons.
Not sure. I guess that could be it, but the best schools are not in those counties. I really only see my property tax info, so who knows. School funding in Kansas is already low, and getting lower soon, that I would be surprised if that was the case in those KS counties.
Strangely, the counties around Kansas City that have the highest property taxes are not the ones I thought they would be. Jackson County makes sense seeing as how the taxes there help pay for the stadiums of the Royals and Chiefs. But Leavenworth, Cass, and Douglas counties? I would have guessed Johnson county was…
It seems more likely that automated cars will become the norm but people who prefer to drive will be able to get a license. This may be a more difficult licensing process though, which I am in favor of. It would be extremely difficult to get rid of all current vehicles within the next hundred years or so. The…
I'm always surprised when I hear that people don't do this. When I'm home with my wife, I rarely check my phone. It usually sits on the entry hall table and I check it when I am walking by.
Not here in Kansas City either. The economy here is pretty great right now.
I may try that brand then. I have one fog out right now (shocking, I know) that I have been putting off replacing since it's 8 degrees here.
The filler cap comes out easily, but that stupid little box that clips to the front of the fuse panel gets in the way. You can unclip it, but it only moves so far since there is a cable attached to it at the bottom. That makes it so the angle is bad to get the bulbs in and out.
I get notices about them every few weeks. Sometimes they are burned out, and sometimes they are not. But I know I have replaced each side at least 4 times this year. My left fog light goes out pretty often too. I think water gets in the housing, despite the rubber cap that goes over the hole.
This was at Aristocrat Motors in Kansas City and they are the only Saab dealer around. It was several years ago, so they may have changed their policy, but I am not going to make a special trip just for that.
I have the same car, and I agree they are not that difficult. I did break the mount once though, and it was a huge pain to replace. My issue is with how often they go out. Last year I replaced both bulbs 3 times. The 'front position lights' are even worse. They go out ALL THE DAMN TIME, and are a huge pain to get…
