Between this and the Doctor Who Christmas Special on Saturday I'll be hearing a lot of British accents this week.
Between this and the Doctor Who Christmas Special on Saturday I'll be hearing a lot of British accents this week.
@obrut-2002: Usually it is the British producers looking to branch out to America to make more money and the American's saying "Sure, we'll take a previously tested concept and try to make money." It has worked with your terrible shows (our American Idol and Dancing With the Stars) but not with your good shows (IT…
@Meredith Woerner: Yeah, I knew what you were talking about. I guess I should have specified I was being sarcastic since that doesn't show up in text very well. I just don't remember that from when I was in RENT. Maybe I wasn't paying attention when I wasn't on stage.
"Eli's mom has come down with a bad case of the television malady "losing the strength to live." You remember this disease from such classics as the third Star Wars prequel, or Rent."
@horsetangle: A bit more information on my friend, he is a 29 year old hardware engineer and makes over $100k. He must really love this phone.
My best friend still uses this phone. He loves the flashlight on top, and honestly, why wouldn't you?
@Oranges w/ Cheese has 2 cats! ahahaha.: Yeah, the time thing is always a dilemma. I'm sure my girlfriend doesn't appreciate me being gone two hours a night for the gym. You might try doing half your workout in the morning before work and half after.
@Oranges w/ Cheese has 2 cats! ahahaha.: Depending on your age/weight/sex etc., you should be eating more than 1200 a day. When I was dancing professionally, most of the girls were eating about that much, and they weighed 95-110. I'm a male who is 6'1", 200 lbs and I eat around 2800 a day when I am holding at a…
@Benny Gesserit: I've done the stage show six separate runs; they will rehearse with pauses for audience participation. Boo the Narrator all you want and get your squirt guns ready.
@WalnutSoap: Thoroughbred of Sin: Inglourious Basterds?
@ddhboy: I agree that this clip was terrible but the show is pretty good. I resisted for a long time since the Two and a Half Men guy created it (and that show is God-awful-dreadful) and it has a laugh track, but once I got through the first few episodes I really enjoyed it. I didn't watch How I met your Mother for…
@acidrain69: Thanks for the tips. I will give these a try when I get home from work and see what I can figure out. If nothing else maybe I can convince my wife we need to get a new HTPC.
@TheFu: You wouldn't happen to know how to do that on a Dell BIOS would you? The BIOS seems extremely limited compared to systems I have used in the past. The only video controller option I see from the F2 setup BIOS menu only allows for 'onboard' and 'auto'.
@MaxellDVD1: Unfortunately I can't even log in, my display gets no signal from the graphics card output and from the original output all I have is a blank screen with my mouse pointer (no desktop, taskbar, etc.).
I have an aging computer (Dell Dimension 3000) that I am using as my HTPC. I bought a graphics card (256 MB NVIDIA Geforce PCI FX5500) to make my viewing experience a little better but I am having some issues. I got the card installed and switched the BIOS setting from onboard to auto (since it is a Dell MB the…
I have a similar cabinet that I just finished a few weeks ago. I replaced the speakers and amplifier and put my cable box, htpc, DVD, wireless router and such in it. I also refinished the cabinet to a darker color (instead of the honey colored '60's look) and replaced the speaker fabric. The picture doesn't have…
Star Wars is well aware a parsec is not a measure of time:
@chargercrazy: I have met Tom Cruise. He is definitely a weird guy but one thing he is not is a douche bag.
When I was competing in tournaments I did my fair share of breaking. In the majority of them, spacers were not allowed for concrete breaks since it makes it much easier. I have never seen board breaks done with spacers. Either way, the break is less about the strike and more about being mentally ready to break…
