Welp I never thought I’d see the day that I agree on something with Cerno. Men should not wear cargo pants/shorts and “cargo dorks” is the correct moniker.

I think prison is the right call here. A fine isn’t going to do shit to deter others from doing the same thing. But it will reverberate through the rich folks with kids a few years younger. “OH SHIT Felicity literally WENT TO JAIL for this. No way Jose, Amber, you’re going to Arizona State” or whatever.
same reason why wives of gangsters don’t go to prison unless they’re directly involved in the business. Those who didn’t do the crime shouldn’t do the time.
TBH I’m not sure exactly what she believes. I heard about her (the whackado Goop doc is Dr. Kelly Brogan) via my favorite Twitter-er, Dr. Jen Gunter. She wrote a blog post about Dr. Brogan. It seems like maybe Dr. Brogan thinks... that AIDS isn’t real? That HIV is real but AIDS is faked by “big-pharma” to sell drugs?…
My mother will win no parenting awards, but this was good: she would allow a certain amount of negotiation for how much of our vegetables we had to eat before we could be done. She would say “3 more big bites” of green beans, then I would ask how many small ones. Then I could decide whether I wanted to eat the smaller…
However, people, especially children, need to try a food multiple times before they know if they actually dislike it or if it’s just unfamiliar. Allowing a child to eliminate broccoli from their diet for life because it looks weird seems misguided and overly permissive.
it is so hilarious how the right loves to just paste “judeo” onto anything to avoid sounding exclusionarily Christian. It’s even better coming from Shapiro.
They only use helicopters (afaik) on forest fires. Structure fires = no.
It’d be great if that were true, but sadly I’m sure you can find MDs who “agree” on some level. Doesn’t make it true of course, it’s just evidence that doctors are people too who can have bad ideas like anyone else.
Pre-Andrew Wakefield, I’d wager, it was a non-issue.
Christ this is awful. Prior infection with measles can actually inactivate antibodies against other diseases.
Many of the things religious folks object to on religious grounds have no basis in scripture.
I don’t think of it that way, and Tan doesn’t either I don’t think. I love doing it because I think it makes you look slimmer. It creates diagonal lines instead of horizontal ones, camouflaging the actual width of one’s waist. Now that I’m pregnant and in maternity jeans I can’t do it anymore and it makes me sad...
I don’t think so, he never appeared to in the show. I think it’s just a coincidence?
objecting to prosecutions of legit whistleblowers under the Espionage Act is 100% valid, but I do not think that is what is happening with Assange.
while it’s a fair criticism to call out other places where enforcement is lacking, that doesn’t mean that the law shouldn’t be enforced in this case. This was flagrant and organized bribery. That is against the law. The perpetrators should be prosecuted.
Interesting thing about the insult “nimrod”: it didn’t used to be an insult. It became one when Bugs Bunny used it to describe Elmer Fudd, he was using it ironically. Nimrod was a skilled hunter, he was saying it to Elmer in the way you call a dumb person “Einstein.” But the children watching Bugs didn’t know who the…
babe, there is a HUGE gulf between a dude who had an affair and a man who would make inappropriate advances toward an actual family member...
I haven’t bought mayo since college. My recipe is similar but I use white wine vinegar and safflower oil. And, like most things that come out of my kitchen, I also use MSG (Accent ftw).
I just paid a $500 medical bill for my 1st trimester genetic screening that I wish I had interrogated more closely. My insurance covers 90% of routine labwork, so unless a routing ultrasound + bloodwork costs $5000 without coverage, they overcharged me.
