"Beyoncé doesn't just sit at the table. She builds a better one."

BUT WHAT DOES LINDY THINK?!?!?!?

Check out "The E-Myth" by Michael Gerber. It talks a lot about how passions translate into business, and specifically uses a bakery as an example (spoiler: they don't, not easily at least). My boss had me read the book some time ago and it had a big impact. Gave me a lot of perspective.

My friend is a baker here in Chicago. She makes $9/hr at a place where she is the only full-time employee other than the two owners, who both work 70-hour weeks and barely make ends meet. And yes, their products are popular and available city-wide. It's a tough, tough business. She's staged at several places, some for

DO NOT open a restaurant or bakery with little to no experience. Just watch the myriad of reality shows dedicated to bailing people out of this initially attractive but unrealistic prospect (Kitchen Nightmares, etc). Enjoying cooking/baking and working in cooking/baking are two entirely different things. Take it from

Depending on how much savings you have, you could try interviewing for jobs in any field (well, anything reasonable, ofc), not just yours, provided you're qualified enough for them? Extra funds would help if you wanted to start a business. I have heard restaurants are pretty hellish to run, but if you're good why not?

Hornk, FOR REAL. The top five win a trip to LA to meet Drew and attend a premiere of her new movie Blended. Voting ends tomorrow night on Facebook at Midnight EST. Please "like"/vote and share! Currently in 5th and hanging there by very few votes!

It's what my hips look like. I'm sure I don't look as great (i have the most awesome stretch marks from the baby and puberty, and I don't photoshop nothing because i *earned* them stripes!), but I like my hip bones a lot. Like, they hold up my body and help me walk and stuff. And I like how they protrude and what not.

I look naked or something. Maybe I just need to accustom myself to less bold makeup.

Dean should have known better. I mean, look at how long David Silver had to wait for her to give it up.

So happy for Matt Bomer. So sad for Gwenyth. I squealed at that John Legend baby, because it's fucking crazy. And I'm creeped out by the ominous goodbye! at the end of the post rather than the typical video/gif/amusing nonsense. Lindy, WERE YOU TAKEN!? Blink twice for yes!

um no. that's rude.

I also miss him :(

I'm looking for where he said anything about violent rape. Everything listed here sounds awful, and clearly misogynistic, but the title said he bid people in his employ to violently rape her. With quote marks around "violently rape," implying it is a quote from somewhere. But I can't find it. Is this an oversight? Is

No, the fact that you posted this is disturbing. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. This site is no better than the Dirty now (and I'm sad that I even know what the Dirty is, but because someone posted about my best friend's little sister, I now know what it is.) WHO CARES what they do to their face. Whether

... ... what does it say about me that I'm more disgusted by the city's decision to dump that much water than I am by the teen's decision to piss in it?

hate the game, not the playa.

Being a jealous whiner is such an admirable quality.

Huh? While they should not have that unfair advantage, I see no reason to hate on women who have it better than me.

Why does being a size 18 mean you should hate models on principle? I don't see the logic in the hate that a lot of overweight women have for thin women or women with nice figures.
