Hi ! I'm also in Logan Square. Welcome to the neighborhood! A few of my favorites : Longman and Eagle, Lula Cafe, Scofflaw <— all amazing craft cocktail bars/restaurants. The Boiler Room, Parts and Labor, Hot Doug's ( because you are going to have to get used to hot dogs. I hope you eat meat; I was a vegetarian when

Have you tried saying something like you're joking but not joking? I think if I were in your situation I'd say something like "man, you're really into the boobs lately. My eyes are up here!" But make sure it's lighthearted. I dunno if that'd work for you, but sometimes throwing a lighthearted comment in there works

Good luck! I am also playing the interviewing for jobs game. I've been looking for more than 6 months now and I am so depressed. I hope you get it!!

Nice try, J Law.

I have.

Dude, I moved here from DC. I've lived all over the country. Do you actually live in Illinois? It's a well-known fact it's one of the most corrupt states in the US. It's not anything to take as offense.

I have, unfortunately. I spent time in Springfield while my SO was in grad school and it was the most depressing time of my life. And before you jump to conclusions, we explored as much as we could.

I don't live in Michigan anymore, but thanks! (Also, I've been out of MI so long that the last time I was at the Intersection was when it was still in Eastown —man, that was a great venue!)

I've moved over most of the country. Yes, I've left Chicago. Ugh, people who make assumptions. Illinois is an ugly state. Have YOU left? you should travel anywhere, really, but the Pacific North West is astonishingly beautiful.

And I say this as someone who enjoys Jennifer Lawrence and didn't want it to happen, but seriously, at this point it's become transparent at what her people are doing.

Those are all college towns. Grand Rapids, while having colleges and universities, offers more than what you can find put together in a college town.

I've seen ladies in crop tops on the few 60 degree days we've had and under normal circumstance I'd be all "are you for serious" but compared to what we've had those days might as well be the dead of summer.

Cool.

It grows on you in some ways. I've been here for going on five years and it just hasn't been that kind to me. You moved in a rough time! I'm sure everyone's told you this, but the summer pays off for the winter.

Illinois is one of the most corrupt states in the country, right there with New Jersey.

Grand Rapids isn't shitty. It's the most cultural city in Michigan, and is the second largest. People from Grand Rapids like to think of it as being a smaller Chicago ( I don't agree with them, but I guess if you're there it's something to tell yourself). Now, compared to other cities I've lived in, such as Chicago

Yeah... Illinois is fucked. Our politicians are corrupt and it's an ugly-ass flat state. I live in Chicago and want to GTFO.

I spent some time in the UP before leaving the state - - the beauty of Michigan really was unappreciated until I left! The "pure Michigan" ads are silly, but it really is beautiful. (and Flint? no plz. I lived in Baltimore and am now in Chicago and wouldn't stop while driving through there).

Floyd Mayweather is from my hometown. How embarrassing. Anthony Kiedis is also from Grand Rapids. And Gerald Ford. Oh, and that kid whose faceplant while graduating just went viral. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER, GRAND RAPIDS.
