Does he really need a security clearance?  Did he pass a tier 4 or 5 background investigation?  At this point, I’m not sure he could.

What will it be like to drive on the street? I’m guessing that the suspension is more than just a little hard. I’m sure the neighbors will not appreciate the sound of the V8 at 7 am.

Seems like they could create an exception for competition vehicles.  Should be an easy to make that change.

Yep, that is the perfect use for EVs.  A town near me has electric school busses and public busses.  They are great.  Far less nose and no diesel stink.

So these youtubers just go into a nearby body of water and start poking around?  One wonders why law enforcement didn’t/hasn’t done that.

I’ve got a first generation CTS-V.  LS6 and Tremec 6 speed and a really crappy interior.  It was cheap when I got it and hauls groceries, kids and ass all at the same time.

GM has to make EV people want.  Part of the problem with EVs is they are too big, too expensive and too complicated.  If they can figure out how to make money selling the EV equivilant of a Honda Civic or Toyota Carola, they will be all set.  I’m not counting on it.

Ford needs to sell direct to customers.  Forget dealerships.

So many people drive unnecessarily large vehicles. You have 2 kids, fine...you don’t need a Tahoe. You might want one but you don’t need one.

It would be great if EV makers would make changing the battery easy. Up on jack stands, unplug the battery, lower it with a jack, then reverse the process with a fresh battery.  

Obviously weight is a factor when considering HP. But most of the time, people have way more car than they need.

Doesn’t getting video from a car (or other surveillance camera) amount to a search? That means the police need a warrant before searching. Or is the towing collecting evidence? In which case they don’t need a warrant.

You forgot the WRX wagon that came to the US in 2002.  Small, 5 door wagon.  I had one and it was very useful.  Hauled kids, groceries and ass all at the same time.

Can you replace the motor and gearbox?  Maybe with an LS or a K20?

The real problem is excess. A truck lifted by 1 or 2 inches doesn’t seem terrible...but 12"? Stupid, especially when you only drive on asphalt.
