This is one more thing that makes me thing that ICE engines burning hydrogen might be the way to go.  

Or tax tires.  That would apply to every vehicle,  ICE or EV.

The real conservatives would never create fees and taxes like this.  

Instead of taxing gas or extra EV fees, just make a tax on tires.  Every car uses those.

Lift kits on trucks are only useful if you are doing serious off roading.

Regular old sedans are the best for most day to day driving.  Trucks are useful for hauling but how often do you haul a fridge or a load of top soil?
