I’d watch Nascar if they would put more road courses and street circuits on the schedule.  It would be nice if they shortened the races.  4 hours races are too long!

Nascar needs to have a lighter car.  That would help.  The Nascar that ran at Le Mans would be a good starting point.

I’m not sure how stock anyone should put on “brand loyalty”. These days, cars are changing quickly. Your favorite brand may not offer the kind of car you need (or want) so you’ll have to look elsewhere. Breakthroughs in powertrain design might get you to consider buying a car from an OEM that you would never have

It would be corporate malpractice not to use the Beetle nameplate again.

I don’t think anyone on the other side of the Atlantic will care that much.

I’ll keep saying it...

Maybe there should be a change in the law so that adverts for cars have to list the “out the door” price so dealers have to honor what they advertise.

Although he doesn’t own the airspace above his property, he has a right to privacy. If the local authorities believe he is violating zoning laws they should go to court and get a warrant to search his property.

I read the article. The solution is simple.

I’m sure these are all well built, fine automobiles.

I considered getting a Tesla at one point.  I’m glad I didn’t get one.

This sounds like a step toward buying vehicles direct from the OEM.

I like it. Drivers draw spots, then have an elimination style tournament. The driver with the fastest lap moves on, the other is out.

Would you share the name of the dealer?  More PR for good, honest dealerships would be great!

It seems like a good doxxing is in order.

I’d be first in line to buy one...if I had the $.

Did Musk stop to consider that Soros selling his shares was a business decision and nothing more?

Just let the OEMs compete like every other car store.

Stories like this should remind the OEMs why they should be selling directly to customers.  It seems like OEMs would like to control the whole sales process (no crappy dealership to screw up the customer experience).

OEMs know this too. I’m sure that’s part of the reason OEMs like the direct to consumer sales model...like Tesla.
