Sunday Best is probably my favorite of the show. Just loved all the plotlines coming to a halt so the characters could attempt to enjoy a holiday, with bad blood simmering throughout.

I think the animation looks eerily similar in this one… Lots of panning shots across static images.
What was Fury's initial conception of them?
I think that's only a problem with season 5. Season 4 is supposed to be a rush, some kind of action-packed narrative climaxing in a battle for the island. The less time spent meandering the better. With season 5, a few more episodes could have been used to build up the bond with the folks at Dharma
I disagree. It takes until late season 6 for him to truly, selflessly abandon his hero complex, and simply do the right thing. From the misguided, single-minded rescue plan to the even more misguided nuke plan, he was always trying to better his own situation, under the guise of heroism.
Interesting that all of that occurs in the last 5 episodes
Most every answer in season 6 came off as a lecture. None were incorporated dramatically into the story like the series' best answers (Yemi's plane, the Looking Glass, and the Man In Black). The most egregious was the Whispers reveal.
I hope you never see the soundtrack titles, with classics like "Locke'd Out Again" and "Leggo My Eko"
Even the island started looking worse though. It got a lot brighter and more yellow, and it looked cheaper as a result. Look at this scene from season 5: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
The way the sky looks in Exodus, always on the verge of a storm, is perfect.
I was so hoping it would be Rose and Bernard.
He's still using, isn't he? I always figured you could justify it by saying he lied then to keep himself safe. I figured he was never a champion though, and that that was a lie to convince Jack to let him go into the Looking Glass.
Howard Korder wrote most of the episodes of season 4, and I thought that season was the best, so frankly I think he'd be a strong choice. But the issue is probably more with the costs of the show and the declining viewership.
For the multitude of plotlines and characters and locations it has to balance, the production is a hugely ambitious undertaking. But I think the show's goals are to entertain by and large, even if that entertainment comes with a healthy dose of misery for the characters involved. That doesn't make it bad or less than…
Second-tier doesn't really denote the quality of its making, just the ambition it sets for itself.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was actually really good, don't know what you're talking about
Maybe it isn't your favorite but I love it.
"Gallows Pole" is great until the last minute when they have no idea how to end it
