The list:

1. Multiple ruptured freon lines that have been repaired with tape, dribbled on solder, and even zip ties over tape.
2. Compressor that should have 3 ohms max that measures 30 Ohms per phase.
4. 4 giant capacitors, all leaking. Someone’s way to avoid putting in a new compressor.
5. Major rust holes in unit, so

Nobody asked for the Capstone? WTF are you even doing, writing about automobiles? Luxury trucks are a booming segment, and the big three can’t satisfy demand. People have also been asking for an updated Tundra for over half a decade, and the previous top of the line 1794 Edition sold well in the context of the Tundra.

I hate saying this - but had this been an attractive white girl, this would be splashed across the national news, teams of volunteers would have been out searching this last month, and we’d have serious people, asking serous questions about what happened.

This story broke due to the efforts of AL dot com reporter John Archibald. He not only dove deep into this piece, but has done outstanding follow-up reporting. Maybe link to his original work instead of the aggregated piece in The Guardian?

Please tell us what the “good intentions” in this protest are.

There are NO good intentions here. It’s 100% racist, anti-government bullshit.

Really? that’s the take you are going to go with?

Most 911s are driven on the daily summer commute of affluent middle-aged businessmen. More suspension travel and sidewall is probably a good thing in those conditions.

It’s not looking at the richness of the mixture - it’s looking at the vacuum level which drops when the driver plants the accelerator pedal - the pedal position is what no smart fuel system can do anything about*. If you drive around at WOT the fuel will be consumed faster.

Volvo just installed a vacuum actuated gauge as an option in the 2 and 7 series cars.

I’m guessing that anything touching a vacuum line needed CARB approval, and this just wasn’t worth it.

The Monte Carlo or Cadillac had something similar. Manifold vacuum gauge on the dash showing gas savings or something like that.

Good lord you’re tedious. The point isn’t that bikes are breakable. They all are, eventually, as you point out. It’s that these break more easily, from lighter use, more quickly, than any bikes previously seen out of all bikes sold to consumers by people who repair bikes for a living.

Now it just needs a “Don’t allow the unrestricted trailer to take out a minivan (DAUTTOM)” restraint system and it’ll be perfect.

Dad built this from a set of plans, a single casting and $300 worth of gears, took him 18 months.

There is a deep bench of shitty 442s, I was having trouble deciding.

Personally, my favorite of the '60s GM muscle cars is the Oldsmobile 442. Big, great sounding V8, fantastic styling, it has the old package. If I had unlimited funds it would be in my garage for sure.

Probably doesn’t help that I don’t think there are any Pokemon Go hotspots in the middle of the Brazos River, either

If it had taken weeks or months to find this car, I would be a little more sympathetic to the police.

Bet if she had been an attractive 20 year old white woman they would have looked way harder.
