You know they can form a corporate entity with the name Voltswagen and not actually badge the vehicles as such, right?

A year on the sofa watching adventure motorcyclists led me to buy an Africa Twin, which I’ll adventurously drive to the grocery store one day.
While I likely won’t ever ride it along the silk road in Kyrgyzstan, I might make it up through parts of Canada post-COVID.
Don’t hold your breath on foreclosures adding to supply. That takes a long time.
A nearby newer mcMansion neighborhood had a single house that the owner walked away from after the 2008 recession, and it finally foreclosed on in the past year and has residents again. While that backlog of defaults was unprecedented at…
Boat’s are tough because they’re so much higher. Harbor freight has a cheap steel gantry, but it wasn’t wide enough for my boat. So I bought an aluminum one on amazon with free prime shipping, and will resell it once I drop the rebuilt 351W into my ski boat.
“My best friend is a black man... He’s traveled everywhere with me.”- George Wallace.
I don’t comment here much, as a white guy it’s not my space to fill. But I came looking for this week’s clapback mailbag, and want to add an endorsement.
both ways in one picture
I have one (2008 in laguna blue pearl), and have been watching BAT, where they’ve been climbing aggressively. Stock condition is a plus, enough so that many undo modifications before sale. I’d want a PPI that looked for signs of that, and I’m leery of ads that don’t list the VIN nor show a carfax report. But…
flightaware is super up to date, and shows the track all the way to livermore. If I had more time I’d photoshop in a lexus:
The rectangular snoot looks a bit agricultural. It reminds me of the front of a tractor, like a MF 135:
I think it depends on exactly how much ground clearance is enough. I have a manual 2014 mazda 5, and it’s been issue free so far, except for an evap purge valve mounted under the rear. (“minor evap leak” code, and was $30 to fix)
But it doesn’t have a lot of ground clearance. To put it in subaru metrics, it’s like the…
cars featured on Bring A Trailer aren’t the cool barn finds they used to be and that they’re getting quite pricey
There’s supposed to be alt text in the image metadata for those that can’t see and depend on readers/audio. But jalopnik (and likely all of their sites) have the same useless alt text. This article has this for all of the images:
That’s what I do now, having learned my lesson with my last truck. It was a 2000 F250 super duty 7.3L diesel with a manual transmission, that looked worse than the titanic. I bought a mig welder and replaced panels, but eventually it was just getting ahead of me. I sold it for cheap with 65K miles.
Had I known then, it…
White Line Fever was another that had a crash-through like that.
If the use is low-speed on lots, a yard shunt truck would be well suited, and available new.
Among small engines, I expect that the tiny 2-stroke motors are the worst by far, though carbureted 4-strokes will be worse than anything with EFI. I bought a backpack blower, and chose the heavier Makita 4-stroke because it was quieter and cleaner.
5 owners, and the last 2 for less than 6 months each. So it still searches for its forever home.
I think it inhibits vtec, but doesn’t limit RPMs.
You can search for papers on that through sae.org. If you’re affliated through a college/university you might be able to get access, otherwise they’re available for a fee. Searching with this query:
