If I were to make a Hardy Boys movie, I'd set it in the present day but have the boys stuck in the 1930s. Hanging out with their chums, driving their jalopy, developing prints of the crime scenes in Fenton's darkroom. And the other characters would be all "dude, get a digital camera already".
