Can't disagree with you on the point about misplaced reasons for THONing. I was not involved when I was a student other than a few bucks here and there to canners, but it was annoying with all of the rhetoric around campus about it (I think that is part of the group thought Greek system too).

Really interesting stuff! I do have an odd question though.

PS Mr. McDaid is one of the best in the business. very nice shot!

Ha i've still got the video too! I look forward to seeing the wagon go even further!

I think a well founded regional structure is important. As someone fairly new to rallying in the US (following/attending for 5-6 years) it would be nice to be able to attend local small events on the cheap to learn the sport without the crowds. Starting the rally sprint program that was discussed last week (?) would

Really interesting stuff. My father in law is always telling stories about the road behind their camp being closed for a rally in the spring. I always assumed it was for STPR and they just don't run that stage anymore. Turns out it was for the ski sawmill event mentioned in the article.

I don't like the miata. None of them. I like the idea, but the execution has never been up to par for me.

As a kid we would vacation on Topsail Island, NC. Which was ideal for a military aircraft loving teen as it was just south of Camp Legeune Marine Corps Base. There were Helo's and Ospreys flying by very often. One night I heard some coming down the beach so I went out to the second (actually 3rd because of the

Lived in southeastern PA for awhile. On summer weekends in southeastern PA everyone goes "down the shore" (goes to the beach in Delaware or New Jersey). While sitting in the enormous traffic jam that ensues on a Friday afternoon going towards the shore, the guy in the car in front of us was vigorously cleaning his

if you were anywhere else in PA other than Philly, getting a gun requires much less paperwork than transferring your license. Philly makes it pretty difficult though because they really don't want to be part of PA.

I like these guys a lot. Always look like they are having a good time. I was on the stage where they totaled the bug eye at STPR a few years ago. Pretty gnarly shunt. Happy they are still trying to play the 'giant slayer' role.

We'll have to see how well this works.

I've always loved cars, but can't really pinpoint why. Just love anything mechanical i guess. I love the amount of content on all of the jalop sites (although it ruins family time spending all night on here, thank you very much).

where is jalop-1!? We are parked on the back stretch...I would very much like a sticker!

1998 Saturn with a normal key (house keys etc on the key ring also) shut off with my leg on a very busy highway in heavy traffic moving at 60 mph. Stayed (somewhat) calm switched it back to run and popped the clutch. The whole think lasted about 3 seconds and got my heart rate up. This was 4 or 5 years ago but

a mid nineties Nissan pickup did just fine...penn state spring football game in 2008. There were also several slip n slides involved. Stop and go traffic was a bit iffy with the geyser that would form at every movement of the trucks.

This is just awesome! These stories are being lost at an incredible rate...
