Jessica Jones, in case it was driving anyone else crazy. That’s the music they were playing.

Yes! Loved this movie, and it made me a life-long Malkovichite.
Another West Wing reference in this episode: “Your indignation might be more convincing if it weren’t quite so covered in crap.”
How about a heartfelt mea culpa for promoting anti-vaccine views?
This is bad, but the height of literally-derangement-syndrome remains that Father John Misty song where he tells off his girlfriend for using the word wrong.
A bunch of references to other episodes in this one — the 15 Million Merits comic, Saint Juniper hospital, “cookies”....which is a good argument for it being self-satire.
The one flaw of these unstoppable killing machines — the battery keeps running out. Seems about right.
Okay, I’m a dum-dum. When Max woke up on the second day, I thought that it was the first day again, and the first half of the episode had been her mom’s fantasy. Getting the dad out of the picture, and hearing her daughter say “you’re the best mom in the world”....it kind of made sense. I missed that she was looking…
I’m pretty sure she was just messing with her mom in that episode, to make her nervous for her speech.
Right, that was my understanding too. She wasn’t just being a jerk.
It’s customary to include a link in this kind of post...
Yeah, the dialogue was just unbearably stupid. And badly acted. I know people are saying it gets better, but I’ve got to trust my instinct on this one. There’s no coming back from that bar scene.
That was great. I do wish they’d let a computer programmer look over the script first, though. A developer of Cameron’s caliber would have a much better grasp of recursion than she did. And that conversation about recovering the file — and converting it to RTF for some reason — was complete nonsense.
Me too, until just now.
For me, the speech was okay until the woman in the background applauded. That turned it from just two flawed people failing to connect, into more of a Message. And as a message, it wasn’t great. In addition to the things you mentioned, it seemed to be mostly about his failure to embody traditional masculinity: he’s a…
Could they make the left sidebar collapsible? I have to crane my neck over to the right to read anything on this site.
Kind of impressed that they waited this long to make a “Portnoy’s Complaint” joke.
“FHBA” cracked me up. Probably the funniest Felicity Huffman joke I’ve heard since Colbert’s “Filliam H. Muffman.”
I normally avoid video content, but for TV show refreshers, a video is the right format, since you want to remember the faces and images. I do wish these kinds of recaps weren’t so fast-paced, though. They would be a lot more useful if they took their time going through each plot-line, so people who missed something…
