That's a really nuanced point (that plenty of people are not really considering if the comments are any indication). I also have no problem believing that her estranged husband forced her into this, as he sounded pretty fucking controlling in the court documents. But that's just me.

I think I feel the same way. If she were carrying the child, I suppose she would have had a 2nd term abortion and very few of us would have "judged" her. Clearly she can't (nor should she be able to since it isn't her body), so what other choice does she have?

If this were a complex scam by her ex and the other woman to have their own baby together AND to get Sheri on the hook for child support, then maybe Sheri isn't the worst, but it would literally have to be that exact scam.

Another issue to think about is that Sherry has no genetic or birthing tie to the child, which during or after a divorce will not be easy for her to win any custody of. I don't think this makes her truly horrible. Biologically the child isn't hers, and I wonder if maybe she was only going into this whole thing because he pressured her into it. (likely as an end-run around the prenup). If things are going especially badly in their marriage/divorce she might not want to be tied to this…
