Hah. Way to deflect. The viper being a very poor performer is public knowledge. You can’t argue it. The supposed boon in 2014 was only after massive layoffs in production and a $15,000 price drop to clear out existing inventory. And then FCA determined the only way to continue selling the Vioer was to make brain the

I don’t disagree with anything you said, except for the Vette comment. I’d argue there are guys right now cross shopping Vette and Porsche. Maybe not 911, which to your point is where the mid-engine vette possibly comes into it’s prime. I’ve been talking about my boss in this thread. Before he bought his first

And now I know what it’s like to be Rick Rolled without even opening youtube.

And yet... you felt the need to respond without actually rebutting anything I said.

lol

Speaking of the ACR, Pobst danced the silver car, its electronics set to Track mode, around the track in 1:30.46, beating the Z06, the GT3 RS, and even the $1.15 million McLaren P1, which ran a 1:30.71. True, he was nowhere near his 918 Spyder time, but as Pobst said, ‘God bless America, all 8.4 liters of it!’”

That may be true. But it’s also true that the car has not sold anywhere near close to what FCA expected. Whether FCA’s expectations were realistic in a world where you have choices ranging from fast to stupid fast in the vette category remain to be seen.

Good reply.

A ZO6 is not a super car. Of course that’s my opinion since there really isn’t a technical definition. But if you think a ZO6 compares to a 918 (or P1 or LaF) in any way but lap times I’d love to hear about it.

What if I told you my boss not only lets employees take the 918 for a drive, but has also taken a few of us to a Porsche club event where we all got a chance to lap Watkins Glenn? He’s actually a great guy. I’ve also borrowed his 996 C2S for a week to take my girlfriend (now wife) on a trip up to Maine. He’s one of

Can we give a little love to Accurate Recycling for being the only sensible roll off rental company in this story!

+1 baby blue sedan

Listen, I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve got what I think are some pretty nice cars. But I’ll never be able to afford a supercar. And I’m ok with that.

Here’s the problem, manufacturers are in business to sell cars to actual living breathing people, not fairytales like the hypothetical “you.”

It’s a great race car. Like really great. It fails miserably at everything else.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Side note: that vette sounded freaking good. Is that stock sound, aftermarket cat back, or full exhaust?

And yet you started this thread complaining. Apparently not so obvious when you first made the decision to write something so stupid huh?
