Are you saying Simon didn’t gain anything by entering the track sooner than he was supposed to?

So the argument here is what did the driver gain from the infraction. It was discussed quite a bit by the broadcasters. If a guy is all alone on the track and short cuts a section, is that the same as a guy making a pass by short cutting?
Honestly asking because I don’t know: Is cede the position in the book as an available punishment for this infraction? The Indycar statement sort of leads me to believe they had one of three options: warning, end of lead lap, and drive through.
For the sake of conversation... Simon had 3 PTP’s left, Dixon 1. If Simon had gone to the end of the double yellow as he was supposed to, he would most likely have had to yield to Dixon and fall in behind him. Do you think Simon would have been able to pass Dixon?
You know what’s great? Reading a ton of comments from die hard Eagles fans on a fan website arguing that the bullshit grey color the Eagles are getting would be sooooooooooooooooo much better as Kelly Green.
Man Stef! I watched the race and then bolted to the kitchen to pop some corn and headed straight to black flag... Was totally hoping to see this story get posted yesterday when the hot takes were still fresh.
I love that you had to mentally prepare yourself for battle once you pulled the trigger on this post.
Heh heh. Shaq...
I flipped over to the Clippers game at half time and there was a (probably scripted) light hearted argument about Blake putting his shoulder in to a guy on the paint during the first half of the game and whether the play was a foul.
Awesome!
So did the team run the livery pro bono to help out the struggling brand or did a the brand “struggling to stay out of bankruptcy” decide it was a smart move to dump money into a racer livery sponsorship?
6/10
Never seen that before. That’s awesome!

I think Barry is Rangers fan.
Good luck Mr. Rogoway. It's been a pleasure.
Driving way too fast on a tar and chip road that has no shoulders. Only ditches along the road. Rainy day, hit a wet spot while screwing with the radio, and reacted the exact way I shouldn’t. By putting both feet firmly on the brake pedal. Hit the ditch at about 65 mph.
