And this is why we cant have nice things...I had...key word had...a 2015 C7 Z51 and currently have a 2015 Mustang GT PP. The C7 seats make the recaros feel bleh. Also comparing the C7 to a C6 is like comparing the Fox body Mustang to the 15 Mustang...night and day. I used to track a C6 Z06 and hated the seats, the C7

“Look Ma, no braces!”

Ehh the Corvette still exists as the better sports car of the two, the Camaro works great for what it is considering it offers very close to Corvette performance for nearly $20k less and with (somewhat usable) rear seats too. It doesn’t make much sense for the Camaro to get much lighter than it is right now without

Did you seriously just call a Corvette a waste of money? There is scarcely anything of better value...except maybe now the Camaro.
C&D made a chart of how fast cars were on VIR compared to their price. The Corvette (Z51 and Z06) were complete outliers with most of the rest of the pack.
As others have pointed out, pure

Agreed, the ls1 f bodies walked all over same year mustangs. The actual power difference was closer to 100 hp in the f body’s favor. That power gap onoy grew with aftermarket support. The reason the mustang sold better was style, price, and ergonomics. 4th gens are a real paint to climb in and out of. It’s like

eh, he’s referring to the mid 80’s. the Mustang was pretty shitty after it lost the 5.0, and didn’t even pique my interest until it got the new 5.0 Coyote.

Damn! 11 Firebirds?!

Sad to say I really loved the WS6 Anniversary edition for way longer than I should have. The blue wheels were totally awesome back then.

F bodies always seem to get a lot of hate around her, I honestly don’t get. They’re not perfect but neither was any sports coupe from the 80s/90s.

I'm curious if the fact that you've had 17 of them is testament to your nerd-dom, or the build quality of the things.

I don’t know any logical human being that hates the LS1 F-bodies. Sure, some may not like them, but they’re the best bang per buck performance you’ll get on the market right now. Until you’ve driven one you honestly have no idea how good they are, shame they were so unappreciated by those that saw the tags “American”

Kudos on COTD, I knew this was going to ruffle some feathers just off the headline. I don’t plan to let mine go anytime soon, even if it is the lesser powered variant in the lineup. Have owned it for 13 years now, hopefully no end in sight. Thank goodness for an aftermarket that still keeps things lively.

The Trans Am, particularly the WS.6, is one of the best American performance cars. It has a double wishbone front suspension design, and about the best live axle setup they could make. The engine is behind the front wheel line, which is great for balance and handling, but poo for doing any maintenance. The rear axle
