I did my 3rd or 4th re watch recently, this time with english sub-titles on. I really had been missing a lot!

Unless he was faking his grief over killing Gamora he is not psychopathic. He seems to show empathy and believes he is helping people (unless it is all an act). At face value I would say he is monomaniacal with Munchhausen by proxy syndrome.
