I Don't Want to Live in This World Anymore is good. The Bad Batch is not.

It's a tale as old as time / Homophobes and rubes

Your guess is as good as mine, guy.

What I've watched in the past week:
Kung Fu Hustle (Chow, 2004) - rep screening, 35mm
Thunderball (Young, 1965) - DVD
The Whales of August (Anderson, 1987) - DVR of TCM airing
Thunderbolt (von Sternberg, 1929) - DVR/TCM
Man with a Movie Camera (Vertov, 1929) - Netflix DVD
A Walk with Love and Death (Huston, 1969) - DVR/Fox

You want to save yourself a lot of time? Just listen to the episode of the Hitchhiker's Guide radio series where Arthur, Ford, and Zaphod visit The Man in the Shack, who is all for all intents and purposes God. Heck, his part is over in something like ten minutes, tops.

That's my former governor! Go down in flames, you bigoted shithead.

Thank you. I do have a reputation to live down to.

What's all this about fur bondage suits?

Still is.

All right, I'm convinced. I'm not going to let Roman Polanski fuck my underage daughter.

Well, la-di-fucking-da.

Too fucking right.

I aim to please.

Nice outfits. The couple embracing has to know how awkward it is to kiss while wearing a mask, though. If you're not careful, you're liable to miss the mouth.

I watched the first VAN HELSING. Zohar was horrifying enough for me.

Apology emphatically not accepted, you worthless piece of shit.

I hadn't heard of that Eno biography, so I thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Before my attention got hijacked by David France's 'How to Survive a Plague' last month, I'd started reading the 33 1/3 book on Blondie's 'Parallel Lines.' I finished reading the former the other day, so I've gone back to the latter. And when I finish that, I've got the volume on Can's 'Tago Mago' on deck.

Last night I attended a screening of pioneering black filmmaker Oscar Micheaux's 1925 silent Body and Soul with a 15-piece orchestra performing a newly commissioned score. When I got home I followed it up with Robert Rossen's Body and Soul because I need to clear off my DVR before it can be replaced.

I won't let you go back to your abuser, Scrawler. Stay strong!
