Lol! You think the increased average weight of vehicles on American roads is due to “the need for more safety equipment”? Is that why Ford basically stopped making cars and switched over to pickup trucks and SUVs? For safety reasons?

A Honda Fit with two carseats in it would barely bring home my weekly grocery run, let alone anything actually big.”

I had one of these Isuzu/Opels as a 2dr fastback.

Cartwright! Cartwright!

“He stopped short?! That’s my move!”

I feel like the moment someone suggested a Miata, Jalopnik was all like “score!! there’s the scandalous lead! We’ll get all the clicks in the slideshow now.

It cracks me up when people refer to new automatics as slushboxes when the ZF 8-speed in the Stinger is basically a magic box of wonder. I’ll always have a manual in my track car, but I have that transmission in my daily and I truly can’t say enough good things about it. But okay grandpa, go back to yelling at clouds

Unpopular opinion: Zagato has never designed a car that looked better than the model it was based on.

My vote’s for the 1989 Mazda B 2200 from Tremors. Without that Truck, Val, Earl and Rhonda wouldn’t have been there to save the rest of Perfection from the Graboids.

Violet’s 69 Buick Skylark from “9 to 5"--you know, the one with the “short in the trunk”!

It came out wrong. I understand getting a lawyer right away. What I’m confused about is if he is truly innocent, even with a lawyer, wouldn’t they want to say as much and clear his name?

Yes, it is terrible when people have the nerve to exercise their Constitutional rights and it clearly means they are guilty rather than following their attorney’s advice.

My first thought!

When this thing drives down the street bald eagles circle overhead. The ghosts of dead presidents souls are trapped inside this car. (not the band) If you like women wearing clothes LOOK ELSEWHERE. Clothes fall off when this drives by.

It’s a peeve of mine when people refer to the parking brake as the emergency brake. That’s not what it’s for, and it’s not what it’s called. It can be of benefit in an emergency, but I can pound a nail into a board with a wrench. That doesn’t make it right to call it a hammer.

I live in a climate with extreme cold, snow and lately in summer, extreme heat. That doesn’t mean that it’s 24/7/365 shitty. More than half the year is great. And when you live in a place with lots of snow and cold weather, you tend to own clothes for that weather.

That the parking brake is some kind of backup emergency brake. A) A complete brake failure is nearly impossible with a modern dual circuit system. B) Even if your brakes did fail while driving, locking up the rear wheels would not improve your situation.

I guess we should see a lot of accident from Europe, where most cars have a tiny little engine compared to north america. The land where you can get a Focus with 90hp and a 12 seconds 0-60. I mean, the amount of crash should be horrendous, don’t you think ?

What a stupid comment.

If it looks like a crossover, sounds like a crossover, and even has cross in it’s name...It’s a duck.
