I used to watch this. Loved it. Road racing on the cheap (relatively) in tiny trucks. How could that not be cool?

I say it’s 100% bullshit. It’s a post from a Trump supporter trying to paint anti-Trumpers as the ones instigating fights, name-calling, etc.
So get a Mazda6. (Not twice as big, but bigger. It’s cool, too.)
I can remember seeing these on the road in my childhood. A family friend had one that was a similar color. Was fascinated with them back then, probably because “Studebaker” was just a lot of fun to say for a six-year-old.
Yes, easily. Maybe of the month...
Same here. I had a white Paseo of the same vintage. Bought it when the model first came out in May of ‘91. Toyota had recently changed their logo, and nobody knew what it was. Got asked about it a lot at gas stations, parking lots, etc. It was a good little car.
They look sad in the advertisement. Gaps look uneven.
I so want to like this car. The price is probably fair, and aside from the tacky chrome fender trim, it looks really good for a 24-year-old car.
Or there is rust or dings under it already.
While in school back in the 70's, had a summer job with a property management company. In the stable were two Chevy LUVs (one yellow, like this one), a Ford Courier, and a Toyota HiLux with the high-mounted turn signals. Made very little money, but getting to drive those little trucks was almost reward enough.
“I used to nap on the package tray”
“Not all of us can own Miatas...”
Not surprising. Hendrick has a history for paying bunches for Hondas.
So do I.
I think people make a mistake when they predicate a car’s worth on just horsepower. A v6 Camry will really bolt, but is a snooze in the handling department compared to a Mazda6. That Toyota 6-cyl acceleration is nice sometimes. The 6's handling advantage is nice pretty much all the time.
I dunno. Just about every aspect of NASCAR sucks in person, but that hasn’t stopped ‘em. It’s pretty much Calvinball on an oval track.
Ok... We’re done here.
I have the auto in my Mazda6, and am of the same opinion. In 42 years of driving, it was the first automatic I bought. I’m glad I did.
