I’m hoping that the Klobuchar supporters, when it become clear that she won’t meet the threshold at the Iowa caucus will migrate to Warren. That could be a game changer, and a lot of voters aren’t picking candidates strictly on ideology. Which is why a lot of Bernie supporters’ second choice is Biden and vice versa.
If you didn’t happen to catch it, last week’s NYT article by Robert Leonard titled, “I’m a Reporter in Iowa, Here’s What My State is Looking For” contained this gem: “Mr. Biden has a lot to prove here. I’ve attended some of his town halls and rallies, and they’ve been lackluster, his speeches dull and meandering, and…
Pete is not a better candidate than Amy. Read the NYT summary on each candidate. Pete is untested& inexperienced. He only received 11000 votes in his previous elections. They basically said he seems talented but should get more experience
This endorsement is such complete horseshit, but there is at least a silver lining that they didn’t line up behind Biden. Horrible as the opinion/editorial writers at NYT are, moderate Blue Dog/right leaning dems read them, and are influence by them. I’m hoping this muddies the waters just enough in the “undecideds”…
To be fair to Buttigieg (the first and last time I will ever utter that phrase), the reason he said he couldn’t read LGBTQ media anymore was because of criticisms about whether he was gay enough or too gay or whatever. Seems like relevant context.
“I don't have a problem with homosexual lifestyle. I just don't ever want to see it anywhere ever."
Puhleeze, the MSM would have had a field day with Any candidate’s spouse fundraising next to a stripper pole. Straight club, Gay club, whatever. Plus being told time and time again that you “aren’t gay enough” by the rags would make me quit reading that nonsense also.
He’s playing to a fickle audience, that being American voters who claim they have no bias towards gays, but grimace when they see “two guys kiss on the lips”.
I also feel like she’s the pre-cursor to today’s influencers, for better or for worse.
I’m not a fan of reality TV but I did watch this when it came out because it really was something different. And while I remember her not being the best drunk, I kept watching because Nicole Ritchie was pretty hilarious.
Paris Hilton was an omen none of us heeded.
I mean, she’s not totally wrong. She did essentially help create reality TV (not single handedly, but it was a FORCE). And I think you can tell from any interview she does that her persona was, indeed, an act meant to entertain.
I have a feeling that the decision to censor was not that nuanced, but I could be wrong.
“we took out those terrorists like your football team would’ve taken out those terrorists!”
Fellow librarian here; I was astonished to read the story. WHAT THE HELL!??
Those signs need to be displayed as they really are or not at all. Otherwise this isn’t an archive and that isn’t history; it’s vanity.
I feel like it’s actually YOUR priorities that are out of whack. The Constitution is a fine document (Jesus wrote it, after all) but it’s 99% filler. What matters is saving babies and locking up black and brown people. Everything else will sort itself out. MAGA!
“Givin’ my kid childhood diabetes to own the libs.”
