I hear you. I’m not condemning her, just that decision. She explained herself pretty thoroughly in the post, about rebellion and being provocative and all. I get that. Even recording a song, I can potentially understand, like you can be in separate rooms, or not even in the same city and record things. It just sucks

She's one of the few pop stars that I've come to respect but R. Kelly has been obviously a terrible creep for years. I saw the SNL performance she did with R Kelly and I was amazed at what a terrible decision that was. In future episodes they should replace that performance with Sinead O'Connor ripping up the Pope's

Don’t romanticize this too much. There’s a big chance she can still hear Jared Kushner’s voice.

Oh, yes, God, peace and quiet at last!

I’m sorry, how do I sign up for this condition?

I saw the movie in a free sneak preview shortly before it came out (although after the whole Mortensen saying the N-word incident) and while I thought it was a perfectly amiable movie that did have good intentions (although by no means an award movie), there were also moments where I was internally going “no, no, no.”

I saw Green Book after learning that the white guy’s son wrote the book and after a reading a lot of criticism that it’s from the white guy’s perspective/it’s not woke enough/etc. and it really influenced how I saw the film.

I honestly couldn’t decide whether they were voting for the movie, or just Queen. I kind of think it was Queen. Which would make a warped kind of sense, since Queen was AAA+ band, and those movies were all B+, at the most generous estimate.

There is NO WAY IN HELL Bohemian Rhapsody will be nominated for anything with the Oscars. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association always focuses on one, weird choice for awards. And, for whatever reason, the highly mediocre Bohemian Rhapsody won for Best Drama. (Same with that horribly titled “The Komnsky Method” for

Why does The Kominsky Method, a show I’ve barely heard of, keep beating the amazing The Good Place? That’s not a snide rhetorical question - there’s so much TV it’s hard to keep track. Is this a show I have to watch now? If it’s reallly that great, good. But if it’s just good, and upstaging better shows, not great.

Most of the jokes felt a bit flat, but the last bit Oh delivered was genuinely heartfelt. Good for her and every other POC nominee in the audience.

Thanx for doing this heavy lifting. Personally, even some of the comments on these stories about him are triggering.

if the movie came out in ‘73, it must have been being written and in pre-pro in like ‘70 or ‘71... that’s less than 10 years after the movie takes place. that’s like writing a nostalgia movie now about the summer of 2011... the heady days when Drive was in theaters and Nicki Minaj was on the radio

Yes, and the final stage: “The FBI didn’t warn us that was illegal!”

Ah, the Giuliani Defense.

Step 1: “My client committed no crime.”
Step 2: “What my client did was not a crime.”
Step 3: “Who among us hasn’t committed a crime?”

Apparently Cally from Battlestar Galactica was in this cult too.

Hit menopause. *rimshot*

The Love Guru was supposed to be Mike Meyer’s comeback after having been away for a bunch of years. The fact that it was so bad, and the fact that comedy had changed so much in just those few years, is what killed his career for good.

Which parts are Spacey? Which parts Underwood? They blended the two into an incoherent rat king.

AND it ends with the Dramatic Chipmunk sting? WTF

This is just sad.
