well, as someone who went to catholic school from prek-12th grade (only willingly up until high school #catholicschoolatheist), i can say that i probably would have benefitted from an extra hour of education on real topics, rather than spending it on religious education.

my grandpa was a huge fan of the clintons forever and got to meet them and Obama through some of his political work, but ended up wholeheartedly supporting Bernie. my grandpa passed last February. at least he got to go out thinking that his grandkids might have universal healthcare (and no nuclear war, etc)
