It’s the perfect tactic because the right can latch onto it and the left is so up its own ass about moral purity and perfection, removed entirely from historical context, that it is just as rabid to accept it as the right.

I think it’s primarily ahistorical thinking as well as the focus on eugenics (which was considered to be progressive public policy at the time). I wasn’t asking about white feminism; I understand where the problem lies there, but if the ultimate goal of intersectional feminism isn’t to achieve equal rights for all groups equal to the current privileged class (and to strike down this class system in the process) then what is it?

Absolutely! My comment was just a plea for a nuanced discussion - I’m def not saying she was 100% great, just that she wasn’t 100% terrible and I hope we can acknowledge that dissonance/complexity within the historical context.
