I never saw A QUIET PLACE, but I worked with Deaf folks for years and I can tell that any creature that hunted by sound would have gotten a deaf kid in about half a second: Deaf people and silence have ZERO relationship with each other.

I would suggest that it is because the folks that make the Marvel movie know and, more importantly, LOVE the characters and the movies they make. This has not been the case with the DC movies: they have been, by and large, not made by people that loved them and they’re more “IP to be exploited.”
