Well, I did get out of bed this morning and think, “You know, it’s time to buy a rally car.”

I remember when these were less than a 5 yo Corolla. Subsequently every “P” plater in my city snapped them up along with the first gen WRX, poorly modded them and then thrashed them into the ground. I wish I could find a nice clean one now that is still affordable.

The strongest memory I’ll ever have of a V10 TDI Touareg was driving up Pikes Peak a few years back to spectate the hillclimb. I was in my 1988 Mazda 323 GTX behind one of these V10s and it was just leisurely climbing up Pikes’ ridiculous grades at pretty low speeds thanks to its massive torque at all of 2000 rpm.…

Wowza. Dodged a bullet there! UConnect didn’t support CarPlay/Android Auto when I bought my JK, so I resolved to replace whatever I got with a cheap Kenwood unit. Works like a charm!

I was disappointed that they didn’t use the falcon doors to escape Clarkson’s trap.
