The more I think about the poor photo quality, the more I buy into the “leaked on purpose” idea. Seems like you’d have to go out of your way to make a picture this low-rez in 2020. But then again. Maybe a GameBoy camera is the only thing you can sneak into a design studio 😂

That’s usually where I draw the line to differentiate decent cars form shit boxes.

No, I think it looks fine. Definitely better than the Escape for its segment.

This is why companies hate leaks. I’m sure there are good angles of this thing, but a smudged-up phone camera can’t do anything justice. This is especially true when it’s already... controversially styled.

Hard to tell, but maybe the spare swings to the right and the back tailgate flips down like a pickup? Also the other spy pic posted here makes it look likes it has the lines of the classic Bronco. If so, but a more modern take on it, they might have a seller on their hands.

Jeep has the Wrangler market all by itself and is printing money with them. Competition will only make FCA improve the Wrangler.

Looks great, but the tailight seems to protrude like an eyeball popped out of its socket.

Nice to see that VW is finally almost caught up to my Buick’s 250hp, 295 lb-ft on their own 2.0T power. And I’m glad they kept the plaid seats and the manual trans. But the nose looks odd, and the swapping to touchscreen controls from tactile buttons and dials is a big step backward IMHO. I can’t imagine how much that

Someone claims the new generation of a beloved car is ruined. It wouldn’t be the launch of a new generation without it. The car looks almost like a large refresh more than a new gen. And the interior is obviously much nicer and more ergonomic.

Mk 7.5 manual owner here. Yes on the power. Yes on the plaid. Yes on the manual. NOOOOOO on everything else! Especially touchpad screens instead of knobs and dials. GAH!

Yes I do. I also remember this

I remember streets of sim city, you could drive in the city that you made in sim city 2000

Wow that’s old. It’s old enough to have the words Electronic Arts instead of EA. And this used to be a great logo to see when starting up a new game.

Miata? In the UK the standard garage space was based on the Austin 7 until sometime in the 1980s!

Don’t worry about the lights, some brodouche will add a few hundred more including a LED light bar on top, it will be so bright it may contact Omicron Persei 8

Not necessarily. The H3 had 5 of those identification lights and it was 74.7 inches wide.

I’m excited for this, mainly in the hopes that the three or so Hummer drivers in my city will upgrade to these so I don’t have to see their stupid “Here’s what I think of climate change *fart*” bumper stickers every time I’m behind one of these money pits.

I think Lincoln interiors are pretty great. This seems like a good collaboration.
