Me too! First VW after nearly 20 years of Hondas. Glad for the long warranty safety net.

I would love to have all the options on the Autobahn, but the SE was already a financial stretch. ACC sounds great. I’m mostly missing auto-climate so far. But dynamic chassis control is a worthy trade!
Yep. I can see us moving to e-cars next time we’re buying.
Good to hear! I’ve found that the shifting is so effortless that I barely think about it in normal driving. Then when I’m having fun with it, I really love that I’ve got the manual.
Their days are numbered. It might keep me in the GTI longer than I anticipate.
Yeah! No kidding. What a hard proposition to sell 2020 models with hardly anything off MSRP and a worse warranty.
I’ve only had it about 10 days, but I keep saying in my head “It’s so fun.” I really enjoy driving it.
Oh man, sorry about the stalling issue. Love your old car’s wheels! New car looks great too. Pure White or White Silver? I got an SE White Silver w/ Exp. Package.
That is awesome! What a wife! I’m just happy my wife relented and agreed to me going back to a manual (after 5 miserable automatic years).
My favorite color on it! Nice choice.
You guys! I did my small part to save the manuals and bought a 2019 GTI with one last week! I feel so proud. And it’s so much fun! The sad thing is is that it’ll probably be the last one I ever own, unless I’m able to have a third fun car one day. Gonna enjoy it for many years though!
I’m really surprised by the lagging sales. I fully expected to see these everywhere. Wranglers are already a dime a dozen, and in general every other person in the Midwest drives a truck. Figured it’d be a recipe for success.
Tell us more about the interior. Leather seats nice? Anything new for 2020 on the inside? Audio good?
Didn’t know there were still manual sliding doors on newer vehicles!
You think sliding doors will always be associated with minivans? Just wondering why automakers haven’t tried them with SUVs/CUVs. Seems like it could aid in styling elements, and of course the practicality. The sliding door is the greatest thing with kids.
I thought you were going to complain that the reverse lights make up the majority of the tail light, which bothers me even more than the problem you pointed out.
Current ‘05 TSX (auto) owner looking to sell this year. Has 128,000 miles, light blue/silver color (a few blemishes), flawless interior, and has been well maintained and drives beautifully. Think I could get $6,000 or more for it? I see a pretty wide range of prices in my area for these (Midwest). Even at 6K that…
I find these in-depth car cleaning videos mesmerizing.
Great shade of blue! Still wish they’d offer a “Sleeper Edition” that deletes the wing and tones down other stuff.
Is the rev hang the same as before? I really think that’d annoy me on a daily basis. I do plan on test-driving one soon. The exterior is a bit more palatable now, although I’m not a fan of the new interior tweaks (red on the seats). Wheels are better too, though I wish you could get them in gray too and not just…
