Ha, I thought the same thing. Who wants to pay this money for a car and have to look at 5 blanks staring at you, taunting you, reminding you how poor you are that you didn’t get whatever could fill them.

It’s a GTS and still has five blanks??? Come on, where are the options???
The advances in power amazes me. I had a 94 Shadow with the Mitsibishi 3.0 V6 and it made 140 HP. My 1.5 liter in the 2005 xB makes 108 and the 2.5 in the 2012 tC makes 180.
Not everything needs 300hp. My car has less than 300 hp and can more than scoot when I get on it. My wife’s car has ~150hp and rarely do I think it needs any more than that.
A 20% increase in horsepower is quite large. With a possible increase in fuel economy too, that’s real good. Not everyone needs Grand National-like acceleration.
182hp is just fine for a compact economy vehicle. There’s a guy with a crosstrek that passes me and everyone else in front of him every morning so they can’t be that under powered.
*beeps in* What is a “land yacht”, also known as a “boat”? I’ll take subtle humor for 300 Alex.
We used to refer to these things as a “land yacht” or a “boat”.
Spec Miata has entered the chat.
Because miatas are dirt cheap compared to corvette and viper cup cars (and 45k/ weekend for this). It’s still expensive compared to autox or something, but for a cup series not bad. Same with B Spec
I wouldn’t say that. I drove a rental one and it was fine. Drove and handled well over the 1200 miles I put on it in a week. Very comfortable highway cruiser. Interior was a little bland, but oh well. Not everything is going to be an art installation. It’s solid at being a big comfy car that just works.
Let your neighbors pick up the tab for repaving the roads after you drive on bare pavement 90% of the time.
Nah it’s a well known fact. Hydroplaning happens at 38 MPH, time travelling happens at 88 MPH.
Automated driver aids are banned in F1, and something that automatically adjusts toe angle on the fly would almost certainly fall under that banner. See Renault being disqualified for a race last year for an automated brake bias system.
no manual, no buy
Did you plan on buying a used Mercedes F1 car before this?
Yet people still buy the Navigator when it’s just an Expedition underneath. And An MDX when it’s just a Pilot.
Wait until you see how much Tahoes cost....
I think maybe before you write an article like this, you have to ask yourself if you’re contributing to knowledge, or contributing to hysteria...
