I would love it if TSLA could continue to be an innovator and industry influence and could ditch the Musk schtick. Make great cars, stop saying stupid shit, stop selling customers and investors lies, and let’s make tesla great again. I could care less about stock price, I want to see something new. And playing video

TSLA is actually down 61% in the last year. I think the article is wrong.

They already tried this with CVTs that faked “shifting”. Nobody liked it.

And we wonder why cars cost so much. Stop spending money on stupid shit. Make it work and not break, and stop it with the gimmicks. We don’t need to pay some overpaid tech worker to program fake automatics and fart noises into our cars.

“companies” are supposed to make zero dollars, if they make a profit then that is bad, and executives should not make any money either. Actually, they should all be subsidizing the costs of things, making it cheaper.

please don’t ask him about his thoughts on ham radio.

For sure. And while I was being a little cheeky there are plenty of people whose fortunes change and are smart enough to make a rational choice and put it off for a little. 14 calls could be a turn off.

True story. Good friend Goes to a Lucid Studio, Telsa Store. Then goes to the Porsche dealership inquiring about the Taycan. Asks about any self-driving tech. Porsche saleperson says “If you don’t want to drive your car then a Porsche isn’t for you”. Is now driving a Taycan. Very nice.

Sam Bankman says yes

Good for them, but the UAW, really? Are there no other decent unions to get in there? I guess gold watches and consent decrease don’t bother them.

Not really, anyone listening to the pros will appreciate that these E companies are overvalued. People just don’t seem to care and think they can make money in the short run.

that bit is comedic gold, never gets old

ads are only worth running if they create revenue. That is why i put revenue in quotes. Your not accounting for the costs to install and run the whole setup, and lease the land. Way more then $.30 a day. Car manufacturers aren’t in the business of doing that just so they can run a few ads on a screen. They won’t tie

Here comes the revolutionary, industry first, I think the stock price should double -  No Hands Needed Naptime Absolute Full Self Driving (NHNNAFSD).... (in small print *capable). Only $10,000

probably one step further. Will take credit for revolutionizing it.

I don’t think the ad “revenue” would cover the costs. It’s quite costly to lease the land, install the chargers and necessary electric supply, and maintain them. Then you also have to charge for the use or again pay for electricity cost. You’d have to sell a lot of ads to cover all of that.

Why would I want to be stuck at hotels, truck stops, and malls? Do malls even exist anywhere outside of the retirement communities in Florida?

I love witnessing things like that.

Decades of aero, crash, and handling design were built around that layout. You say “ground up” like it’s design from scratch. But it’s not. Engineers and designers are relying on those decades of knowledge, available parts (which are cheaper then from scratch bespoke parts and designs) to make cars affordable.

I know they do, and there is a reason you don’t see them around more. But nobody calls them “manual transmissions”.
