I think Canadian law is similar to US law but yes has it differences. Most notably court reporters have a special key on their stenotype machine solely for the word “eh” and the judge is obligated to provide a recess at least twice a day for poutine and Tim Hortons.

To survive the early stages of a lawsuit the plaintiff will need to convince the court that there is at least a modicum of evidence that GM new about the issue and then lied about it. Range anxiety forces EV manufacturers to offer cars with excessive range/battery capacity. The majority of use cases could use the battery only range of a plug in hybrid nearly 99% of the time and get those benefits while falling back on the gas motor for that one time a year they need it.

This will eventually make it less competitive. When you change the rules to make the pitstop easier (and quicker) for everyone you are going to shrink the difference between the fastest crew and slowest. So the advantage the best pit crew gives their team is now worth less then it was before.

My FIL has owned probably 30 old british sports cars since I’ve know him. He currently has 4 (3 MGs and a Morgan). All his cars are/were in excellent condition. Most are high 3 or solid 4 condition. I help him maintain them (which is like a full time job). They are just as bad as the memes unless you spend your week…

ID’s are required by so many agencies. It will be nearly impossible to get them all to accept electronic ID. So, you’ll have to research to make sure it is accepted by every agency you may encounter. Or, more likely, just carry your license too.
