This is somewhat a problem for cars that are full time AWD too. There is usually some magic dance you have to do to get it to roll. A coworker had an AWD Acura (MDX I think). There was some 20 step process to get it to roll including taking part of the center console apart and then you have to have a special “key”

“Driver error”

Which is fine. Capitalism and all. I just take issue when people try to paint him as a saint too.

This 100%. Out of one side of his mouth he wants more pressure on automakers to meet environmental goals. Out of the other he wants to make sure he can sell them credits at full price/value. even though those credits single handedly allow automakers to NOT meet environmental goals.

Your takes are horrible. Your too young to know shit about cars and too old to be given a pass on your naiveté. No car is worth what the owner is asking for it. Everyone except the writers on this site have prefect grammar and spelling. Everyone in the comments are in the top 1% of intelligence (except Tesla stans,

I think he’s just smart enough not to post his actual email address. And those that want to spam him are too stupid to realize how to fix it.

haha, yeah I think he’s got his wires crossed.

I just don’t understand used car pricing anymore. I’m out.

you beet me to it. 1ofMany is way off base.

living in the age that we do it’s sometimes hard to appreciate the amount of skill and effort it used to take to put something like this together.

In part of the video they seemingly swerve off the road/ramp to avoid oncoming cars then right back on to continue down the ramp. I don’t think suicide was probable here. Probably mental health issue or substance abuse.

This is really cool to see for at least 2 reasons. First, I think its great to see youth into motorsport, especially drag racing. And doing it in a way that is safe (fnf ftw). And B, to see a female interested is even better. Good for her and great for the sport.

She races a Camaro from the early 80s with a small block and a ratchet shifter. Definitely not an expensive build.

Those folk are annoyed by anything, they just pointed at insurance to seem less crazy. Truth is that insurance premiums are regulated and have caps on how profitable they can be. If seat belts reduce payouts, great, because premiums will be reduced accordingly.

There’s no freedom any more” says the guy being forced to wear pants.

I have a manual transmission car and use engine braking almost exclusively. I haven’t replaced my brakes since I bought my car. Where are we going with this?

Motor oil is recycled too. What’s your point?

I think that pretty much happened. Which is why we have airbags now. And as trucks get bigger and cars get heavier I can see new safety tech being needed.

Net gain yes for EVs as a whole, but not as much as some EV enthusiasts think. I think the point in this article is that it COULD be a losing proposition at a micro level. So before someone goes off half-cocked about how they (individually) are saving the world they need to consider the reality of it.

Reality check, battery coolant IS antifreeze . And the gear boxes on EVs still use oil to lubricate. The Model 3 even has a dipstick to check the oil and a filter for it!
