The FTC will eventually investigate. It’s coming.

This is a very well made argument. Nice work. As a result we all now get to hear a bunch of wondering dribble from some triggered muskers.
It has cruise control... might be an option or on the higher model though.
Jets are great in shallow lakes. I know most boaters poo poo them but they allow you to operate in almost no water without worrying about trimming your OB up or if you have a stern drive, damaging it.
yes, depending on your use case.
haha, yeah trains can’t stop. A loaded train can take miles to stop. There is no “green light” at crossings for the train. At crossings the train is f’n coming through. All the other stuff is for traffic to know to stay out of the way.
I’ve had 2 yards of topsoil in the back of a rental Silverado. (standard setup, not HD). which was probably around 3,000 lbs. It was distributed evenly and the truck handled it fine. I actually backed it over a 5 inch curb with the bed full so I could get it closer to where I wanted to offload it. Full payload (or…
I took my car through a touchless car once. Turns out that because they don’t use brushes they actually use much more aggressive chemicals. Turned all of my glossy black trim and mirrors a flat black. Took the finish right off. I’ll never use one again.
This model Century came out in 1982. They just pulled a dodge and didn’t come out with a new model until 1997 (with one slight facelift along the way).
Maybe they don’t have the 3k to pay out of pocket for the new battery? I guess they could take out a subprime payday loan for the battery. Nope, I’d just sell it.
I’m not saying it’s bad. But it is a sacrifice, and I’m fine with it if it means better efficiency and a longer horizon for petrol motors. Good to keep options in the mix.
Usually years later when technology catches up. GM legacy is a history of innovation that is ahead of its time. They just have the hubris to try and make it work and fail to recognize that technology to do it still isn’t there. So it implodes or just isn’t good enough for consumers to want it.
Human nature - if someone’s car is fully self driving itself then that person is going go find something else to occupy their time. Like tik tok or a nap or something. They will not sit there paying attention to the road.
Who said this is a “radar issue”? The NHTSA is investigating what the cause was so they clearly don’t know. Jason’s commentary was directed at “AI” generally. I don’t see anything about radar, just about Tesla cars ramming emergency vehicles.
If Cylinder deactivation is what winning looks like then Cadillac has been on the podium since 1981.
“Do you plan on including the fact that other TACC systems fail to recognize emergency vehicles consistently?”
Yes sir. I had a Dodge Viper RT/10 on the wall. But I had more modest goals of a Grand Am GT. I ended up with a Chevy Cavalier.
Yes absolutely. Or if it is a decent size 1-car garage and you have a set of wheel dolly’s you can fit three of these in there.
If we are talking about my personal preference... Saturn Sky. I’m too large to comfortably operate a clutch. Not enough leg or foot room. So, the auto is a must. Oh, and it’s faster then than the manual to boot, so there’s that.
That lede photo is all you need to show. Ford was the beginning of the end for automobiles. Taking reasonable, practical horseless carriages and turning them into towering behemoths with unnecessary ground clearance and doors. Who actually needs doors? And a rear seat? I’ll bet most people only put one, maybe 2 people…
