Your right, The only ones i’ve ever seen for sale were GXP but apparently base model coupes exist. Thank you sir.

yes, there is a hardtop fastback but it was GXP trim only. Also, sellers ask $25k+ for them. They know what they got.

I would be interested in knowing why there is a trailer hitch on it. Towing an extra set of wheels to the track?

They have a unique look. But I don’t think they aged well. The Sky aged much better.

Yes, economies of scale allows the prices of the components to be far less, Designing a part and then manufacturing it at low quantities is very expensive. If a part is already designed and in-use it is “off the shelf” and there are no design costs, also if the part is shared with a high quantity model like a Malibu

It’s a gift. But there is usually a point burred in there somewhere.

Yes, I grew up in an astro van and one of those armrest coolers were mine every trip. Bring it to the masses.

If I own a Cadillac and a Chevrolet what does that make me?

1st gear. Glad to hear they are doing better at last for one quarter. But, it’s not hard to do better then they were. I always roll my eyes when salespeople have a horrible quarter and then stick out their chest when the next quarter they are “up”.

I’ve taken my Chevy to a Cadillac dealer for service. What’s wrong with that? Heck the local Cadillac dealer has used Chevy’s on its lot.

Perceived performance can sometimes be different then reality. I have a couple sports cars. One feels fast through the twisties, very composed and easy to drive. The other feels less fast, more on-edge (but in reality is much faster if driven to its potential). Casual drivers won’t push cars when they don’t feel

I guess I was assuming his unqualified statement applied broadly. Only outperforms in things mainstream buyers do, got it. So, sit in traffic and drive from stoplight to stoplight? Oh, and maybe the occasional hard pull out of the Starbucks drive-thru.

I could see them setting up items on a subscription model in the future, allowing current owners to continue to use the feature without a monthly fee, but not allowing them to transfer it to a subsequent owner.

define “outperform” have you done the canonball or an endurance race? Friend runs an old GTO in enduarnce races that I’m pretty sure any model 3, modded or not, would have a hard time competing in.

My thoughts exactly. By now people know what they are getting into and willfully choosing it. I don’t blame Tesla for continuing not to care... it seems that their customers don’t.

I guess the buyouts didn’t matter as much in the past and I can understand that.

That’s what is curious to me. If the restriction is against the terms of the lease then there will be a class-action suit. If a buyout was always at the discretion of the lessor then there is no legal standing but it’s still pretty shitty for a company to change practices when there is along history of allowing it.

Actually, this whole article is NOT about selling the car. It’s about a lease buyout which is essentially an assignment of the lease contract to another entity. When another entity “buys out” the lease they are getting the lease assigned to them and all the rights in it (including purchasing the leased vehicle at a

Didn’t you read his comment? He says “multiple dealers OF THE SAME BRAND”. If it was the same brand dealers it’s not a third party.

I’m curious what mechanism they use to “restrict” third party lease buyouts. Leases are just a contract, it allows it or it doesn’t (or is silent on the topic).
