Funny enough, My father in law restored two MGs (TD and TC), and an AH Sprite. Full engine out drivetrain rebuild, better then new. They still leak (much less though), but still leak. It’s an issue with tolerances, not maintenance. I have cardboard to slide under them when he comes over so he doesn’t stain my driveway.

It’s possible. but pricing usually trails inflation. And Tesla doesn’t use margin pricing. We already know they are supply constrained and their inventory numbers reflect that. So that is the more likely culprit.

Probably just balancing supply and demand. If there is a shortage you raise prices. That way you only lose the customers at the lower end of the demand curve. Keep the customers that are willing to pay a higher price.

I remember when Verizon used to charge for its navigation (VZ Navigator). Long after google maps was available, free, and a better product. Who wants to pay extra for something that is easily available for free and a better product? IDK, but some people did.
