If it’s average, meets peoples needs and doesn’t try too hard it’s forgettable and not exciting. If it’s overly capable and very interesting it’s overkill and wasteful.

This clearly proves that these cars are not yet ready to for the general public. I wouldn’t park one of these things in my garage. There must be something inherently wrong with this type of car, why isn’t this being investigated by regulators?

Yeah, that’s part of it. Steel bin with a spring lid that is emptied regularly. And to have policies and procedures that limit the amount of flammable solvent in use and exposed at any time. And also to have a process to ensure that there is no ignition source nearby.
Company I know lost a lawsuit that allowed its employees to degrease and store dirty rags by their work station. Of course a fire happened. The lawsuit was lost because it was determined that that practice was negligent.

I think consumer buying habits for new cars are a little different then used cars. New car sales is what manufacturers are targeting.

I get that the engine has a lot to do with how people feel about cars. Some love the turbo 4, or 6, v8 , 10, 12, 16? I get it.
