My comment was about man-buns (or the previous one was about the amazing amount of time it takes to be competitive in cycling). Nothing focused on money... So I think your barking up the wrong tree here.

I don’t know about definitively. If you talking about popular opinion based on boy racer dreams then maybe...

I wouldn’t (and didn’t) bite but this is what they go for. If it really is well cared for and you don’t mind dealing with the items that are going to either need to be replaced or just make the car a little loose and loud this the right price.

I feel like that stopped being hipster like 5 years ago. Now, it’s mainstream hipster-posers. People with money that missed the boat on being influencers but still trying to find a way to be different. So they go down market.

ha, I know, most are struggling artists or some combination of taking classes and waiting table. So a beard and bun are not unusual. They are the only one’s with the time it takes to train to that level but somehow they still have money for 2 very expensive bikes plus extra wheelsets and all the equipment.

Wouldn’t the hipster dude be riding a steel frame from the 80's that he converted to a single speed or fixie?

A former neighbor of mine had a bike shop (road bikes). Sold a bike over $10 probably every week. He wouldn’t even mention them to me in conversation unless it was a $20k custom fit job being built in Italy.

I never considered that maybe the colors just didn’t match from the very beginning. Yikes.

My wife has a 13yo small beige suv. My hack is to keep persuading her she doesn’t need a new car. Swipe a pole or back into someone? Just buff it out. I have an arsenal of rubbing compound. It’s a 13YO car and the color hides it really well.

The yellow sucks. All the ones I’ve seen (including the pristine one my FIL has) the yellow interior does not match the exterior yellow. They either used cheap paint or cheap plastic as the UV rays at this point have faded it. With the top down it looks like someone wearing blue socks with black pants. Or, like

This is a huge car for only 2 seats. Seriously, the chassis is meant for 4 seats as in the Lincoln LS. It is not quick or fast. It’s a bloated boat cruiser.

Almost... most of them actually believe they can achieve what they are saying. Reasonable or not, that’s what they think. Pumping up the company is just their way of getting capital which (in their mind) is the the only thing standing in their way of success.

This is what all these startups do. They make claims and hope that their technology can catch up with the claim before anyone notices/cares.

I don’t, because my thermostat has a knob. I change it throughout the day.

I drove one of these for years. It’s a comfortable car. I’d prefer the chassis tuning of the Grand Prix GXP though. This car has very light steering and is a little soft. Also, torque steer was present but because of the aforementioned steering effort it wasn’t hard to keep the wheels straight.

Temp control should never be a push button, always a knob. Period. Same for the fan speed. Period. Also, is the hvac vent control one button that you have to use to cycle through all of the choices?

Performance on Dry pavement is worse then all-seasons (as expected). Especially in spirited driving of a sports car. Also treadwear is poor. It’s like summer only tires in the cold. Not unexpected at all, but certainly has tradeoffs depending on the conditions. For me I don’t need ultimate snow performance for the 6

Blizzaks are legitimately awesome in snow. But really bad at everything else. I can’t even justify them even in Cleveland winters. I’d love to get a set but would use them maybe 6 times and the rest would be driving them on clean/wet pavement. FWD with all seasons handle 99.9%, and a night-in with a bottle of bourbon

While I agree with you that AWD isn’t necessary I don’t think that picture is doing you any favors. That there is what we call a “dusting” here in these parts. I drive RWD sportscars with summer tires in stuff like that.

I guess change the Camaro to the sub-brand and bring back the Kappa platform? But Kappa’s didn’t sell well enough the first time around... and they already have Camaros. So I’m not sure they would gain much.
