I agree with almost everything you are saying. I still have an N64 sitting next to my PC in my living room. The fact that weak hardware forces devs to make better games is debatable. Powerful hardware should make it easier to make good games.

"Having big powerful graphics mean nothing if your not gonna make good use of it"
Well, I just bought a GTX 780 so I'm not worried about the specs of either console. That being said, I plan on picking up a PS4 sometime in 2014.
For what platform?
Looks like the eighties will live on forever. In movie remakes at least.
No problem ;) I really don't know if I will jump on this anytime soon, but if things pan out it looks like it could be very cool. PC games in my bedroom (my gaming PC is in my living room), Android games on the road!
I have a GTX 780 and when the Nvidia software detects my hardware, it shows me that my system will work with Shield. It even detects my wireless routers speed, and mine is not the greatest, but still..................the 660 is not the only card that will run this.
The only game engines that have 'native' support for the Oculus Rift are Source and UE4.
Some people don't seem to mind 30fps, but I'm one of those people, like yourself, that would rather have less details turned up in order to get 60fps or thereabouts. In some games it can be a huge deal imho.
I could be wrong, but I think he meant playing games at 4K resolution. The new Assassins Creed game is only running 30fps @1080p on the next gen consoles, so..........
Could not have said it better myself.....
Yes it is, but when you buy a Steam copy, you are given a second copy you can download on GOG.com. This is DRM free and can be given away.
Oh, there will be game support.
What exactly is a 'real' gamer?
If you liked Hard Reset, you have impeccable taste in video games ;)
Yes, but no games demoed ran at 60fps. I was hoping the new PlayStation would at least run the majority of games @ 60fps. Bummer.
If the game sells well on PC, I'm sure it will get released on consoles. The devs have stated that they have a will to do so. Seeing as the PS4 looks to be more of an open platform, it could be the first or only console choice for Bohemia.
Go on Steam and vote for Green Lighting the fucking game then. I did. Sheesh.
I know it's coming to PC for sure. That's pretty much all I care about. Have a PS3 and wouldn't buy this game for that console as it's getting long in the tooth, and buying a next-gen console on the first six months or so is a poor decision in my opinion.
Yeah, that sounds fantastic. I have to make it a point to go back there soon.
