This isn’t a Vita where if Sony stops supporting it, it dies. This is a full fledged PC, and will run thousands of games going back decades. Until it wears out, at least.
The Epic Game Store is the most unethical, anti-consumer videogame store in existence. Their entire business model is to keep third party PC games off of other digital store fronts.
If VR is really important to you, PCVR is the way to go. I haven’t touched my PSVR for at least a year, the controls and tracking are horrible. Plus no Half-Life: Alyx, poor FoV, 1080p single screen.
If comments weren’t greyed out year over year, more gamers would invest time on the site.
I must have missed the ‘review’ part of this review?
It’s really hard for me to get behind either company, as one is a billion dollar company trying to make more money from a trillion dollar company. No matter what kind of propaganda is spewed through advertisements etc. they don’t give 2 shits about the consumer.
My biggest disappointment was Kileak: The DNA Imperative on the original PlayStation. It was a game that looked and was advertised as cutting edge, but it looked bad and ran so horribly, that if I played for more than 20 minutes I would end up throwing up.
Half Life: Alyx
Dude, you are so hilarious! You are not saving the world here, we’re talking about video games. People like them, people hate them, and some people are indifferent.
I’m completely exhausted with the Steam attacks. Why doesn’t any reputable journalist call out the Epic Store? Because there are no reputable PC game journalists.
Here is something to note about Steam surveys. They are optional, and are very bad about detecting VR hardware. I have owned an HTC Vive since 2016, and now have a Valve Index. Steam had no idea I had a VR HMD until a couple of months ago when I ran the hardware survey with my Index plugged in.
Try going on Steam and looking at what the number one best seller is. Yep, it's the Valve Index full kit.
He’s referring to the Valve Index. I have one, but I didn’t pay $999.99. I already had an HTC Vive, so I purchased the Index controllers and the HMD ala carte.
PSVR? It’s ok, but compared to PCVR, it’s not close. You’ll be happy with your PSVR if you don’t try an Index.
The Epic store is proxy to cancer to PC gamers. I will never buy a PC game from them. Ever.
No. It clearly shows tracking sensors in that shot. Look to the right of the thumb. I can see at least two. I’m not saying that it isn’t a hybrid, but it definitely has tracking sensors like my Vive.
Don’t listen to him. I have a similar setup, and I play a lot of demanding Vive games without my case heating up, and don’t have any issues with dust inside my Crystal Series 570X RGB. With the plate glass, you’d think I’d notice.
I have to agree about Tilt Brush, it’s fantastic. Hell, even Google Earth VR is an amazing experience, though neither of these are quite what you’d call a game.
My favorite Vive game is Audioshield. It’s a music rhythm game where you can use your music library, or anything on YouTube. I keep going back to play this one.
