I’m surprised you’d need to intercut. Every show I checked out has clearly been designed and shot landscape. Any of the vertical shots were glorified pan and scan, cropping a 9:16 image of whatever was the focus at that moment.

Its not just the palette, he’s shooting it like Kane, with those big deep focus wide angles. It’s a ballsy choice but if anyone can nail aping the aesthetic of “the greatest movie of all time”, it’s possibly Fincher
