Cleaning woman?!? CLEANING WOMAN!?!
Cleaning woman?!? CLEANING WOMAN!?!
To open the vault, Nina had to enter a code then scan her hand. As I remember it, she started typing the code with her right (bionic) hand but finished the code with her left (real) hand, then did the biometric scan with her left as well.
I'm just liking everything Tipsy says, 'cuz it's all so true. I'm the Tipsy Stalker.
CHEVY IS AVAILABLE!
Agreed. So many shows drag this kind of stuff out, and Fringe has been guilty of it too. They could have spent several scenes on Olivia hiding her symptoms, then denying anything was wrong once Walter and Peter got suspicious. But here she just said, "I think this is happening to me too. Take my gun." It was nice to…
The shot of the cars stopping and the jet coming out of the sky was not only an X-Files homage: it was Close Encounters of the Third Kind too.
I thought it was too soon for a reboot too, but this trailer makes me cautiously optimistic. Really glad to see that they're using the Lizard as the villain, and I like that this version has Gwen Stacy and Captain Stacy (instead of Mary Jane and the Osborns). It's nice to see them again.
I thought they were bringing "Queer Eye" back.
I'm getting more of a "Heathers" vibe from this.
Don't you know we're all into Uggie now?
…so you had to divorce her. Makes sense.
The correct answer is "You Met Your Match," by Stevie Wonder. But Ray Charles' version of "America the Beautiful" will do in a pinch.
That makes sense. I've never seen any other BBC scifi series from that era, but I'm not surprised to hear that the BBC had continuity-dependent genre shows long before the Americans did. Maybe the shorter seasons of UK shows made season-long continuity seem less intimidating.
Longer arcs were appearing in more primetime, non-soap opera shows around this time, too: Hill Street Blues, and St.Elsewhere were both doing that, but maybe not to the the extent that Who did in this season.
I always write "hush money." At least I did back in the 20th century when I still wrote checks.
I love Brandon Bird's work. And his Nick Cage colorform action playset is the perfect gift for any AV Clubber.
Did they put Robin Williams' film career on trial? Guilty of mugging and pandering.
I've never understood the love for DS9 either. It's fine, but I didn't think it was as good as TOS or TNG. It's just a bit better than Voyager to me. But a lot of people love DS9. Maybe I missed something.
I don't know how often he's provided a platform for women comics actually doing standup, but Letterman has a solid record of giving a lot of exposure to funny women as guests (especially Bonnie Hunt, Amy Sedaris, and Sandra Bernhard). He also had a woman (Merrill Markoe) as head writer for years, back when his show…
Well, he's so strong. And he can kick! Why hide it?
